‘Security Incident’ Reported Outside CIA Headquarters

Hours after two Israeli embassy staff members were murdered…

Early this morning, around 4 a.m., security guards outside CIA headquarters shot a woman during what officials are calling a “security incident” after she reportedly failed to comply with commands at a checkpoint. The shooting was nonfatal.

The CIA announced that its main gate remains closed until further notice, advising travelers to use alternate routes. Fairfax County Police are assisting with traffic control while the CIA conducts its investigation

The shooting occurred just hours after two Israeli embassy staff members were murdered outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C. The alleged gunman, Elias Rodriguez, reportedly shouted “Free Palestine” while being taken into custody.

As the New York Post reports:

Rodriguez was once linked to the Party for Socialism and Liberation — a far-left group that regularly posts anti-Israel rhetoric on social media.

“End the genocide. Israel out of Gaza now,” the group posted Wednesday — just hours before the DC shooting.

The group confirmed Rodriguez’s membership in the wake of the shooting as it distanced itself from the violence.

“We reject any attempt to associate the PSL with the DC shooting. Elias Rodriguez is not a member of the PSL,” the group said in an X post early Thursday.

“He had a brief association with one branch of the PSL that ended in 2017. We know of no contact with him in over 7 years. We have nothing to do with this shooting and do not support it.”

Although no direct connection between the two events has been confirmed, their close timing has raised concerns. Authorities are investigating both incidents.
