Congress Prepares To See Biden Bank Documents After Treasury Dept. Buckles

-

Congressional investigators will get to see documents sent to federal by banks who suspected members of the Biden family may be engaged in illegal activity, after Treasury Department officials relented and turned over the records.

These “suspicious activity reports,” submitted to the Treasury Department by banks who suspected account holders were involved in illegal activity, had been routinely shared with .

The suddenly stopped sending them once it became known over one hundred of them involved members of the Biden family.

The documents will now be reviewed in private by the , which is investigating alleged illegal activity by members of the Biden family and allegedly President himself. (RELATED: Georgia Prosecutors Weighing RICO Charges In Trump Probe)

“After two months of dragging their feet, the Treasury Department is finally providing us with access to the suspicious activity reports for the Biden family and their associates' transactions,” said House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman , R-Ky.

“It should never have taken us threatening to hold a hearing and conduct a transcribed interview with an official under the penalty of perjury for Treasury to finally accommodate part of our request. For over 20 years, Congress had access to these reports but the Biden Administration changed the rules out of the blue to restrict our ability to conduct oversight,” said Comer.

“According to bank documents we've already obtained, we know one company owned by a Biden associate received a $3 million dollar wire from a Chinese energy company two months after Joe Biden left the vice presidency. Soon after, hundreds of thousands of dollars in payouts went to members of the Biden family,” Comer added. (RELATED: Hunters' Art Dealer Is Hiding From Congress As Money Laundering Probe Deepens)

“We are going to continue to use bank documents and suspicious activity reports to follow the money trail to determine the extent of the Biden family's business schemes, if Joe Biden is compromised by these deals, and if there is a national security threat. If Treasury tries to stonewall our investigation again, we will continue to use tools at our disposal to compel compliance,” Comer concluded.

According to the Committee:

On January 11, 2023, Chairman Comer wrote to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen for information about the Biden family and their associates' suspicious business transactions flagged by U.S. banks.

On February 24, 2023, Chairman Comer sent a letter to the Treasury Department outlining its lack of accommodations.

On March 7, 2023, Chairman Comer called on a Treasury Department official to appear for a transcribed interview to explain why the Treasury Department has not provided the requested information.

  1. This needs to be done. Biden & his crime family need to be held accountable for what they have done to our country & it people. They are ruining our economy, left people behind overseas, allowing dangerous illegals to come across our borders, endangering our national security.
