How Massachusetts’ Liberal Agenda Spreads Nationally

-

Stay away from Taxachusetts.

I love my home state of from its beautiful seacoast to the mountains to its rich history. Unfortunately, our policies are not friendly to taxpayers. That's why 1,100 people are leaving the state each week. Here are the top reasons to avoid moving to Taxachusetts.

The Commonwealth is the only right to settle state. This law was passed in 1983 by former Governor Mike Dukakis. It forces our state to pay to house illegal immigrants. Since January, our state has gone from 15 families in hotels to 467! It is costing taxpayers $1 million per week to house them! There are now another 3,900 families in shelters!

If that is not bad enough, the legislature last year passed licenses for illegal immigrants.  The state is set to start handing them out on July 1st, so our progressive governor has hired a ton of new employees for the registry to help the illegals. Legal residents cannot get appointments to get the REAL ID, but illegals are getting the red carpet treatment.

The legislature enacted the Tax Expenditure Commission. You are probably thinking that this Commission investigates how our tax dollars are spent on road repair and public safety. That's not a tax expenditure. A tax expenditure is something the state doesn't tax.  Our elected officials believe that it is an expenditure on their behalf not to tax something.  That's crazy and that's how much they think your money is their money.

We pay the highest rates in electricity. Progressives stopped a natural gas pipeline into the Commonwealth and the result has been soaring rates.

Our governor just spent $50 million for our local communities to hire climate change experts. It is going to result in our homes being policed by the greenies.

Of course, we tax everything under the sun. We have property , sales taxes, gas taxes, auto excise taxes, income taxes, inventory taxes, tolls, registration fees, inspection fees. You name it. We tax it.

The worst part of all of this is that what happens in Massachusetts doesn't stay in Massachusetts. When our crazy state implements some crazy policy, it emboldens progressives in other states to follow us.

  1. I left Michigan for the same reason. They tax anything moves or doesn’t move and yet they have the nation’s worst roads,

  2. Was stationed there for a little while and that made me never go back. Looks like folks are waking up.

    • Not if they move to other states and try to put the same policies in place that they just ran from. We need to purge every left wing government, at every level, from county to federal, that there are across this country. If we don’t they will destroy this constitutional republic, and that may well lead to that next revolution that has been talked about for a number of years now.

  3. Well, my sainted ancestors had the good sense to exit fanatical Puritan Massachusetts ~300 years ago and move southwards. In the meantime the spectres of injustice and hysterical witch-trials seem verily to have returned to Massachusetts…with a vengeance.
