Jan. 6 Video Shows Undercover DC Cops Incited RiotersĀ

-

ANALYSIS ā€“ In the latest evidence that the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol was not exactly as it was portrayed by partisan Democrats and the establishment , a sealed video shows D.C. undercover Metropolitan Department (MPD) officers acting as provocateurs.

And a federal prosecutor has admitted they did so but is still fighting in court to keep the video evidence sealed or ā€˜masked.'

VideosĀ from Jan. 6, stillĀ hiddenĀ under court seal, have become an increasingly hot topic, especially as we learn more about the involvement of multiple FBI informants in the riot.

One of the Jan. 6 defendants, William Pope of Topeka, Kansas,Ā filed aĀ motionĀ on Feb. 21 toĀ removeĀ the court sealĀ onĀ one video.

The undercover video, part of which wasĀ posted on Rumble, shows three members of the MPD's Electronic Surveillance Unit (ESU) approach the Capitol's northwest steps.

The Epoch Times (ET)Ā reports:

Nearly 30 members of the Electronic Surveillance Unit were assigned to duty on Jan. 6, some of whom were gathering evidence on crowd activity. Members wore special bands on their left wrists to identify themselves as part of the Electronic Surveillance Unit, according to the MPD'sĀ 96-page Jan. 6 action plan.

ET quotes undercover MPD ESU officers chanting or yelling terms of encouragement and incitement at protesters. TheseĀ included:

Officer 1 repeatedly joined in chants of ā€œDrain the swamp!ā€ and ā€œOur house! Our house! Our house!ā€

ā€œThis is amazing,ā€ Officer 2 said. Officer 1, who was shooting the GoPro video, replied, ā€œYeah, I've never seen anything like this.ā€

Officer 1 encouraged the crowd to move up the stairs with repeated shouts, ā€œKeep going! Keep going!ā€ and ā€œKeep going, keep going, come on!ā€

ā€œThis video clearly evidences undercover officers urging the crowds to advance up the stairs and scaffolding towards the Capitol on January 6,ā€ Pope wrote in an earlier case filing.

ā€œThe officer clearly incited that area, and we still don't have video from all other undercover MPD,ā€ said Pope.

ā€œAnd,ā€ PopeĀ addedĀ to ET, ā€œas the numerous informants in the Proud Boys trial demonstrates, we are only just beginning to scratch the surface on FBI involvement.ā€

In aĀ March 24 filingĀ before U.S. District Judge Rudolph Contreras, however, prosecutors askedĀ the court to keep video footage shot by the officers under court seal.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Kelly MoranĀ argued against unsealing closed-circuit television (CCTV) security video, saying it could put officers at risk.

ā€œThere are very specific and highly worrisome risks associated with the specific videos the defendant seeks to share en masse,ā€ she wrote.

Moran also accused Pope of attempting ā€œto try his case in the media rather than in a court of lawĀ ā€¦ā€

But trying the Jan. 6 rioters in the media has been the 's goal all along. And now it's time to finally see the other side of the story.

And this side could be very damaging to those blindly pushing the ā€˜insurrection' narrative.

At one point in the video, one of the undercover officers stated, ā€œSomeone's going to get shot.ā€

Another video reportedly shows Officer 2 and Officer 3 walking behind the late Ashli Babbitt on the northwest steps of the Capitol.

An hour later, Babbitt, a former Air Force Security Forces officer who was unarmed and peaceful, was shot and died at the entry of the Speaker's Lobby by a Capitol Police Lieutenant.

Babbitt was the only person directly killed in the violence at the Capitol.

  1. With all the evidence out there, why are the demonstrators still in the DC jail? The people that put them there should be locked up and throw away the key.

  2. Taxpayers footed the bill for all of this, and all the video, documents and testimony should be released. It belongs to us not politicians with an agenda! IMO

  3. Yes, where are the J6 lawyers who representing their clients? Where are the republican committees contesting the verdicts? Where are the US citizens demanding justice? It seems people don’t care about injustice unless it affects them. So sad.

  4. Attorney Kelly Moran said that releasing the videos would put the officers “at risk”! What about the people that are still incarcerated? Aren’t they “at risk” also? Why is our penal system so one-sided? Again, “rules for thee but not for me”!

    • Those
most at risk should be the Congressional Members of the J6 Committee who should be brought up on charges and tried. if found guilty forfeit all pay and allowances and lose their generous pensions.
