Army Officer Indicted for Trying to Give Soldiers’ Medical Info to Russia

-

A married couple, including the 's first openly officer, have been indicted for allegedly trying to provide soldiers' private medical records to the Russian government.

A federal grand jury in indicted Jamie Lee Henry and his wife, Anna Gabrielian, on charges of conspiracy and wrongful disclosure of individually identifiable information.

Prosecutors claim the couple met with an undercover FBI agent in August who was posing as a Russian diplomat and offered medical information from Fort Bragg, the home of the military's elite Delta Force, according to The Washington Free Beacon.

Gabrielian, an anesthesiologist at Johns Hopkins University, told the undercover agent during an Aug. 17 meeting that “she was motivated by patriotism toward to provide any assistance she could to Russia, even if it meant being fired or going to jail,” according to the indictment. Gabrielian gave the undercover agent medical information on a spouse of someone who works in the Office of Naval Intelligence, and “highlighted” a medical issue that “Russia could exploit.”

Henry, a doctor and major at Fort Bragg, gave the undercover agent information on five patients at the military facility, according to the indictment.

“My point of view is until the United States actually declares war against Russia, I'm able to help as much as I want,” Henry allegedly told the agent, according to an indictment obtained by Fox News. “At that point, I'll have some ethical issues I'll have to work through.”

Henry claimed to be the first known active-duty Army officer to come out as transgender, and the first to legally change their name while in service. The officer claimed during an interview with Buzzfeed that the transition provided a helpful perspective in the medical field.

“I find my trans experience has allowed me to relate to people, because all of us suffer, and I could relate to people's suffering. I'm able to comfort people that feel isolated and lost and alone and broken,” Henry said.

Ironically, Henry complained during a different interview about the lack of privacy given to transgender people receiving medical care in the armed forces.

“I felt very vulnerable while being treated as a patient in the same hospital I worked as a physician. What made it worse was that, as a soldier, my medical records were not private, and when the question of mental illness came up, I felt stark naked,” Henry told Bright Young Things in 2015.

According to prosecutors, Henry told the undercover agent he offered to join the Russian military after the invasion of Ukraine, but was rejected due to lack of combat experience. Henry allegedly told the agent that he believed “the United States is using Ukrainians as a proxy for their own hatred toward Russia.”

    • I don’t know but death by any means should be carried out swiftly. A guy on death row died from old age recently! Ridiculous!

  1. Now that everyone from birth Civilian, Military, everyone, has their entire medical history in a Government database that can be accessed by Thousands of Doctors and Others, Including the Lettered agencies, it was just a matter of time that this happened. This queer just got caught. My personal pronoun for this XY MAN is Traitor. Welcome to bidens military. Meanwhile the reason the military didn’t reach its recruitment goal for the first time in history is a recruit needs to explain every prescription, doctor or hospital visit since birth. Everything is in your medical records.

  2. You know the old joke about more issues than National Geographic? This guy is the poster child. Why is our military accepting nut jobs like this? Oh, yeah–our commander in chief…..

  3. Have you seen the photo? If poor Henry wants to pass as a woman before facing (their) firing squad, (they’d) better fix (their) Adam’s apple.

  4. this was a trans person ( a man pretending to be a woman) and from what I have seen there brains do not work right. there is just some thing off with them.. but this is treason and it better be taken care of the right way.; treason should be by firing squad
