Foreigners Entering US Illegally To Crash Key Military Bases: Report

-

ANALYSIS – Marine base near D.C. is the latest target. Is this enemy reconnaissance of our military facilities? In the most recent example of the massively heightened terror and sabotage threat created by Joe 's open border, a Jordanian national, along with a person on the terror watch list tried to crash the U.S. Marine base in Quantico, , on May 3. So basically, one known terrorist and a likely second terrorist from the Middle East deliberately tried to drive their box truck onto the base. And the simply ignores it or avoids highlighting the foreign illegal aspect of these incidents.

The base, known as the “Crossroads of the Marine Corps,” is one of the Corps' most important, housing several officer training schools, Marine Corps University, the Marine Corps Combat Development Command (MCCDC), which is dedicated to modernizing the force, as well as serving as the headquarters for the HMX-1 helicopter squadron, better known as “Marine One” when flying the president. The critical base also hosts the FBI Academy, elements of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), as well as other federal agencies.

The base is just south of Washington, D.C.

In this case, the Marine Corps Times just reported that a box truck was stopped by Marine sentries.

Capt. Michael Curtis, a spokesman for the base, was reported by the Marine Corps Times as saying: “When asked, the operator of the truck informed the military officers they worked for a company subcontracted by Amazon and were making a delivery to the U.S. Post Office located in the Town of Quantico.”

The outlet added:

Because the two had no affiliation with the Marine base and no credentials to enter it, military police officers directed them to go to a holding area to undergo standard vetting procedures, according to Curtis. But the driver blew past the holding area and attempted to drive onto the base. Officers put up the vehicle denial barriers, blocking the truck from getting any farther onto the base, and detained the pair.

The Marine Times mentioned, as an aside near the end of its story, that the two suspected terrorists were later turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) by the Marines, followed by a brief note that it had been reported that one of the perpetrators was “a Jordanian national who had recently crossed the southern border into the and that one occupant was on the U.S. government's terrorist watch list.”

But this is just the latest attempt by foreigners who have entered the U.S. illegally to crash our military bases. The Marine Times continues:

In January 2023, a car caught fire after coming into contact with vehicle denial barriers when its driver tried to gain unauthorized access to Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, .

Military police in September 2023 shot at and ultimately detained a driver who had gained unauthorized access to Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, California. In March, military at the same base nabbed a Chinese national who had tried to get onto the same base.

Chinese nationals have accessed military installations and other sensitive facilities in the United States around 100 times in recent years, sometimes by posing as tourists, The Wall Street Journal reported in September 2023.

Fox News noted that: There have been more than 22,000 encounters of Chinese nationals at the southern border since October 1, a massive increase from the 2,176 encountered in federal fiscal year 2022 and the 450 encountered in fiscal year 2021. China is one of more than 150 countries represented among migrants arriving at the southern border. Some officials and Republican lawmakers have raised concerns that single adults entering from the geopolitical foe could pose a national security threat.

“There have been numerous documented instances of Chinese nationals, at the direction of the CCP, engaging in espionage, stealing military and economic secrets,” a group of Republican senators warned last year.

They said that among those crossing the border could be “individuals who could engage in espionage activities or cyber-attacks against our critical infrastructure, government agencies, or private sector entities.”

These base incursions by Middle Eastern terrorists and Chinese nationals appear to be attempts to gain intelligence on base security and protocols. Using a box truck in this latest attempt is especially troubling.
