Report: Trump Requests Supreme Court Intervenes in FBI Raid Case

-

Former President Trump's legal team has asked the Supreme Court to get involved in the ongoing FBI raid case.

Trump is asking the to weigh in on Trump's legal battle to have a third party review the thousands of pages of records he stored at his Florida home, according to The Hill.

The filing from the Trump team asks the high court to lift a stay granted by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit that allowed the Justice Department to review more than 100 classified records taken from Mar-a-Lago during its August search.

“Nonetheless, the Eleventh Circuit granted a stay of the Special Master Order, effectively compromising the integrity of the well-established policy against piecemeal appellate review and ignoring the District Court's broad discretion without justification,” they wrote. “This unwarranted stay should be vacated as it impairs substantially the ongoing, time-sensitive work of the Special Master.”

Earlier this month, the appeals court overturned elements of Florida Judge Aileen Cannon's original ruling, allowing the DOJ to continue its criminal investigation

During its unprecedented raid on the former President, the FBI removed thousands of pages of documents marked as classified from the residence. However, Trump has asserted that he declassified the documents prior to leaving the White House.

Last month, Judge Cannon forced the to cease its investigation of the materials until an independent special master was appointed to first review materials suspected to contain sensitive national security details. Judge Raymond Dearie was appointed to review the materials.

The Justice Department is investigating if Trump violated the Espionage Act by illegally removing classified materials from the White House, a charge he was strongly denied. (RELATED: Special Master Deals Loss to Trump FBI Raid Case in Latest Ruling)

However, last week the Justice Department requested an expedited ruling in its appeal for the appointment of a special master to allow the department to “more quickly resume its full investigation without restraints on its review and use of evidence seized pursuant to a lawful search warrant.”

  1. He might get some justice from the Supreme Court because he isn’t getting anything from the corrupt system of the law. All these Democrats are nothing but corrupt through and through.

  2. Why is Obama’s presidential stuff sitting in a warehouse in Illinois? Maybe the Supreme Court should review former Presidents storage of documents, some of which are still classified. Who decides what is classified? Let’s check the flight records of Clinton and Epstein too. Is this classified???

  3. You can’t trust a dimoshit as far as you can throw em. As said by a fellow Republican DO NOT Ask A dimoshit what THE TRUTH IS, because THEY don’t know.
