The co-leader in the plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) has been sentenced to 16 years. Judge Robert J. Jonker said Adam Fox's sentence was necessary to serve as punishment and a deterrent but disagreed with the government's recommendation Fox spend the rest of his life behind bars.
A Grand Rapids jury found Fox and Barry Croft Jr. guilty of conspiracy charges following a second trial. The men led an extremist, anti-government plan to abduct the governor and blow up a bridge to evade their pursuers.

Adam Fox was convicted in August of conspiracy to commit kidnapping and to use a weapon of mass destruction to attack Whitmer, who had drawn the ire of far-right groups for her efforts to curb the spread of Covid in 2020.
Jurors in April failed to come to verdicts against Fox and co-defendant Barry Croft, forcing a judge to declare a mistrial before a second trial proved decisive.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Nils Kessler, argued Fox was hellbent on igniting a “second Civil War,” a claim met with some skepticism by the judge as NBC News notes:
U.S. District Judge Robert Jonker questioned whether Fox was a true “natural leader” of the plot, worthy of a life sentence.
“I don't think life is needed to achieve the important public deterrent factors,” Jonker said, explaining the 192-month sentence.

Hmmm, how does someone lead “an extremist, anti-government plan” that didn’t go beyond talk? I’ve read that the non-FBI in the plot didn’t buy a single thing for the alleged “plan”. Is that wrong?
This was an FBI operation and cover up. So called “right winger” Adam Fox was either framed or an informant the corrupt communist 3letter agency threw under the bus to take the hit for them. So they look like the heroes as always…..

How about FBI agents who started and pushed it! How about the governor being in on it! She got a lot of money from out of state people because she needed it for protection. Which is bs. This judge should of threw every case out. These men where set up by the FBI and the governor.
When will the FBI be sentenced?
