Migrant Caravans From Texas Continue to Arrive in Northeastern Cities

-

Migrants continued to arrive in Northeastern cities over the weekend from , when two more buses arrived in , adding to the ones that reached Washington, D.C. last week.

Critics of the say it has refused to properly address the crisis at the southern border, which has led to a continued influx of individuals arriving in Texas from Central and South America.

In a statement released by his office Friday, Texas Governor announced that the first buses of migrants had reached New York after being sent there by his state.

“Because of President Biden's continued refusal to acknowledge the crisis caused by his open border policies, the State of Texas has had to take unprecedented action to keep our communities safe,” said Governor Abbott. “In addition to Washington, D.C., New York City is the ideal destination for these migrants, who can receive the abundance of city services and housing that Mayor has boasted about within the sanctuary city. I hope he follows through on his promise of welcoming all migrants with open so that our overrun and overwhelmed border towns can find relief.”

New York City Mayor Eric Adams blamed Abbott for using “innocent people as political pawns to manufacture a crisis.” Still, he asked for the federal to step in and offer assistance to help with the arriving migrants, despite New York constantly pitching itself as a sanctuary city ready for migrants.

Last week, Governor Abbott also sent a letter to the mayors of both D.C. and New York, inviting them to visit the southern border and see the firsthand.

Despite the bashing Abbott has received from progressives and their mainstream allies, the Federation for American Reform (FAIR) lauded Abbott's actions.

In a statement to American Liberty News, FAIR Press Secretary Ron Kovach noted:

“Mayor Adams correctly pointed out that the influx of illegal aliens is “a real burden” on New York City resources. If the border crisis is overwhelming our nation's largest city, imagine how it is negatively affecting border towns in Texas. What Governor Abbott is doing will certainly alleviate the stress on communities in his state, while revealing the hypocrisy of open borders, and NIMBY elected officials in large urban areas.”

  1. Here in Texas we are sick of the Biden administration not protecting our borders. I believe Governor Abbott should also send illegal aliens to Delaware and set up tent cities right next to Biden’s real home, since he’s never in D. C. anyway.

  2. NYC and Washington DC do not need more Dems. Their plan has been for all the migrants to stay in TX and help Dems takeover that state. Abbott is ruining that! Oh well – there are always millions more “migrants” that the Biden Admin can bring in.

    • Abbott should not forget to share the wealth of illegals with the city of Chicago, another den of left wing liberal democrats.

      • Please don’t! We don’t want them. We already have enough Hispanics here and I had a Mexican drug dealer living next door to me for years.

  3. I think Eric Adams said that a recent bus was expected to be carrying 40 migrants but only arrived with 14. Any idea where the others got off? Who was waiting for them, if anyone?
