Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade Offers Startling Defense of Biden Economy

-

” co-host heaped praise on the Biden today, which grew at a 2.9% annual rate in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Kilmeade's defense, which Mediaite commentator Tommy Christopher described as “stunning,” came mere hours before President Biden addressed the state of the economy in a speech for the first time this year.

Besides implying that Biden should take a victory lap for the latest economic indicators, which Kilmeade called better than just about anywhere in the world, the host noted that the president should be gracious in his speech instead of blasting Republicans.

It appears didn't get the memo.

Excerpts of the speech shared with the press showed that the president would attack his Republican critics, mainly “House Republicans' MAGA Economic Plan,” which, in a press release, the White House lambasted as “the biggest threat to our economic progress.”

While the headline number is down, food inflation increased 10.4% year-over-year in December.

In contrast to Kilmeade's take, the hosts of ' newest program, “The Big Money Show,” regularly tear into Biden's handling of the economy. In their first episode, they argued that Biden couldn't emphasize with ordinary Americans who experience sticker shock every time they go to the supermarket.

Fox Business reports on the show's debut:

“You look at prices at the grocery store; it is nuts how much you're paying for things like eggs and milk,” host Brian Brenberg said on the panel. “And when you hear the president saying he's optimistic, it feels like he's never even thought about the folks who are shopping at those grocery stores and paying those prices.”

“Well, he doesn't go to the supermarket aisle. We know that when he didn't know how much meat prices were on the rise,” FOX Business' Jackie DeAngelis responded.

Americans are feeling inflation pain “across the board,” DeAngelis noted while citing the price of oil and hospitality costs.

“They're still feeling pain at the pump and for a lot of other things, for goods and services as well,” DeAngelis said. “So for [Biden] to say, ‘Everything is great,' and to take one headline and put it out there without context and say he's doing such a great job and pat himself on the back, the American people aren't stupid and they don't want to be lied to.”

  1. sorry I don’t buy any numbers that come out of Obama no Biden’s office. How can we have thousands of Tech companies laying off and the numbers don’t go up .

    • Yeah and blue states are so great illegals can go to a store and steal. If you get caught with more than $900.00 with of good you get a ride to the jail house then let go. If one store closes down you can always go to another one.

  2. Not true. I heard it live this morning. Kilmeade was talking about how he would spin the news if he was Biden, he was not praising Biden’s economy.

  3. Our Economy Is NOT GOOD ! Still Help Wanted/ Hiring Signs EVERYWHERE You Go ! People Scraping to get by .. They are Living on Credit Cards and Handouts ! We Didn’t have that problem when Trump was In Control ! Nobody Trusts the “Gober’ment Anymore ! No Morals, No Accountability, No Respect, NO LOVE ! Dear God, Reveal Your Correcting To These FOOLS ! JMHO !

  4. I don t watch any show kilmeade is on as he proved a long time ago that his sole purpose is to kiss Dems behinds!

  5. I don’t know what Kilmeade is smoking, but I’d sure like to know.
Want to know why Unemployment numbers are so low? Once your benefits run out”they” no longer count you in the report.
Some accountants are fudging on the numbers to make McSniffy Schitz-His-Pants look good.

  6. I do the grocery shopping and my grocery bills have easily doubled. It’s not just eggs and milk. Everything has gone up in price exponentially!!!

  7. Government spending falls straight to the GDP bottom line, but produces few goods and services. Too much money chasing too little goods and services is the definition of inflation. Please note current high inflation! We must produce good jobs to prosper!

  8. The General Accounting Office in their ADP reported for December compared to the BLS:  ADP – a loss of 301,000 jobs.  BLS – a gain of 510,000. A discrepancy of 811,000.  Therefore, the 467,000 being surmised by BLS for January is significantly suspicious and could be completely wiped to another revision of -350,000 when ADP releases their report in March. This proves the Bureau of Labor Statistics are making up numbers for this administration. General Accounting Office (GAO) has increased the scope of its audit activities in the last few years in an attempt to improve procurement and management of the Government’s automatic data processing (ADP) I guess this got by Bidens administration. If inflation was tabulated in real effect the inflation would be around 35%. I cannot be anything but skeptical about any information that comes from the government, especially info from a group known to sell their integrity such as most media. Kilmeade should research before he opens his ill-informed mouth.

    • This is what someone posted and I believe it. That sounds more like Kilmeade to me:
Not true. I heard it live this morning. Kilmeade was talking about how he would spin the news if he was Biden, he was not praising Biden’s economy.”: written by Michael Smith and I hope he doesn’t mind that I quoted him.

  9. Tells me Kilmeade doesn’t know the facts and what Biden uses to make a comparison ,
Or Kilmeade makes too much money!!
