Democrats Officially Retake Pennsylvania State House From Republicans

-

Democrats have won a majority in the for the first time in 12 years.

The development comes as -endorsed candidates at the top of the ticket underperformed in the Rust Belt and motivated Democrats and independents, leading to mini-blue waves in states like Michigan and .

Two races remained too close to call for weeks after Election Day. After counting outstanding mail and provisional ballots, Montgomery County officials recorded that Democrat Melissa Cerrato had a 59-vote lead over incumbent Republican Rep. Todd Stephens, who has since conceded.

The win gives Pennsylvania Democrats a razor-thin majority of 102-101, which party leaders say will be used to push a “center-left” agenda on the commonwealth's 13 million residents.

The Daily Wire further reports:

The commonwealth will soon be entering its third consecutive four-year cycle under a Democratic chief executive since Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro decisively defeated Republican State Senator Doug Mastriano in the gubernatorial election. The race, for which Shapiro had been the favorite throughout the entire midterm election cycle, was closely watched in the aftermath of the overturning Roe v. Wade, as most new regulations on from the Republican-dominated legislature had been nixed by Wolf.

Meanwhile, the Pennsylvania race between Democratic Lt. Governor John Fetterman and Republican Dr. Mehmet Oz also ended in a victory for the former candidate. The race was marked by controversy over Fetterman's issues following his stroke in May, which voters were able to see in the contest's only debate. Fetterman, who linked his health struggles with the challenges faced by Pennsylvanians, provided choppy responses as Oz pressed the former Braddock mayor on his Left-leaning platform, although the only publicized meeting between the two candidates failed to change the outcome of the election.

Voters also reelected Tony DeLuca, a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, despite the fact that he passed away last month after a battle with lymphoma. “While we're incredibly saddened by the loss of Representative Tony DeLuca, we are proud to see the voters to continue to show their confidence in him and his commitment to Democratic values by re-electing him posthumously,” the Pennsylvania House Democratic Campaign Committee remarked on social . “A special election will follow soon.”

Republicans took a slim majority in the U.S. House of Representatives, while Democrats will retain control of the U.S. Senate, falling far short of many pundits' expectations of significant Republican gains. The midterm elections were expected by many to be a referendum on the 's economic performance, although many commentators said that the lackluster Republican showing might be a result of poor candidate quality.

  1. It seems that In the back door meeting with the dem/rino establishment party, everything was dived up to retain their corrupt control. There is no way that I can see for just one party to pull this off, they work together to appoint, and anoint. That is why investigations always get squashed. They want Trump out because he has exposed them, and he is not done. Trump is the only choice for 2024!

    • There’s really nothing different between the RINOs and the leftists. They both want the same things, money and power.

  2. Voters are proud to show confidence in a dead man. This just shows that voters have no idea who they are voting for. Center left my a$$. PA voters deserve what is coming to them.

  3. MERRY-GO-ROUND ALERT!

So are you dizzy or are you waking up to the fact that the electorate is being played like a fiddle?

Round and round and round and round again (incessantly) goes the Constitutional Republic’s election merry-go-round, providing both species of Crocodiles (disguised as Donkeys and Elephants) their turn at the helm, to undo whatever was accomplished by the previous administration.

And the only direction it travels is round and round and round and round again (incessantly). It never changes and yet, tragically, every two and four years Americans clamor for their alleged voting rights to elect another nincompoop, scoundrel, incompetent, immoral reprobate, or outright criminal to rule over them.

230-plus years of the Constitutional Republic’s elections has proven that regardless whether a Donkey or an Elephant gets elected, America has only advanced further down her suicidal trek to the precipice.

Time to get off the Constitutional Republic’s biblically egregious election carousel.

    God has better plan!

The best the Constitutional Republic’s election system can ever produce is the lesser of two evils. Sometimes the worst of the worst, and always the evil of two lessers.

The Bible’s election system provides the best of the best of two or more biblically qualified candidates, every single time.
