Vice President Kamala Harris recently took a jab at former President Donald Trump, accusing him of being reluctant to debate her ahead of the upcoming presidential election in November.
Harris Calls Out Trump
“So, last week, you may have seen, he pulled out of the debate in September he had previously agreed to. Here's the thing, here's the funny thing about that. So he won't debate, but he and his running mate sure seem to have a lot to say about me, and by the way, don't you find some of their stuff to just be plain weird?” Harris remarked. “Well, Donald, I do hope you'll reconsider to meet me on the debate stage because as the saying goes, if you got something to say, say it to my face!”
The Debate Dilemma
Trump had initially committed to debating President Joe Biden again in September. However, those plans changed when Biden announced he would be stepping down from the 2024 presidential race due to growing concerns about his cognitive health and viability as a candidate.
Trump's Response
Trump stated he would only debate Harris if she were confirmed as the Democratic nominee for president in 2024.
Harris's Challenge
Despite the original debate being scheduled with Biden, Harris has been vocal in accusing Trump of “backpedaling” out of the debate.
Harris said she will attend the Sept. 10 debate whether Trump decides to or not.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said Monday that while he “probably” will debate Vice President Kamala Harris, he could “also make a case” for avoiding a face-to-face confrontation with his likely Democratic opponent.
Trump, in a Fox News interview that aired Monday evening, did not initially say whether he would commit to a debate with Harris. And while he ultimately seemed to confirm that he was game, his answers left room for ambiguity.
The remarks underscored how far the dynamics of the race have shifted in the week since President Joe Biden withdrew his reelection bid — a decision that came after his disastrous debate against Trump in late June.
Before that debate, Trump had repeatedly challenged Biden to face him “anytime, anywhere, anyplace.” But when asked about debating Harris, he struck a different tone.
“I want to do a debate, but I also can say this: Everybody knows who I am, and now people know who she is,” he told Fox host Laura Ingraham.
“Then why not debate her?” Ingraham interrupted.
“Well, wait,” Trump responded. But, because they already know everything.”
“I'm leading in the polls,” he said.
The July 31 RealClearPolitics average shows Trump leading the 2024 general election polls by an average of 2 percentage points.

Trump should absolutely NOT debate Kamala Harris. The only debate Kamala could partially make her point on is abortion.
Kamala Harris would be a vicious bitch in attacking Trump. That’s all she would be good for, a smear campaign, as a debater.

In the last debate, anyone could see the moderators were basically throwing Sleepy Joe under the bus for the first time in history, cuz they were ordered to do so. Debate the Democratice candidate after the Democrat’s Convention, and not before! You are correct, Mr. President.
Also, only go back to the Pennsylvania small-town rally only with whistleblower agents (from the date of the assassination attempt up to one week ago) and no agents or law enforcement from the last incompetent or compliant corrupt security crew. I think Trump definitely should debate Harris. One condition… on each debate there should be a Mix of people asking the questions. One person from each side of the aisle

No, Trump should not debate Harris unless she is definitely the Democratic nominee. It’s a set up. When she becomes official then, what she says has to be concrete—not dribble. There are strong issues at hand that are destroying this country. It could have been any president with these same values that the present democratic president has. The country has to zero in on the issues only. If you don’t then tons of people will be stirred up with the minor, false created issues. Nonresearched people will decide just on anarchy alone, not even knowing or caring because they have been blinded with hate. Sad but true, this country is in extreme danger of war, right here in the good ole USA. It is not the time for a female president, especially one with destructive values. It was never brought up that back in the 70’s George Bush talked about a one world government. The signs are in place. At the end of WW2, Japan stated-“We may have lost the war, and Greed, Corruption, and power will destroy your country from within!”
He should debate her only AFTER she is positively confirmed as the Democratic candidate. After Chicago. Then neither side can hide from who they are.
She can challenge all she wants AFTER she wins in a fair democratic election with primary contenders not a coronation. Aren’t fair democratic elections what the democrats are always crying about? There has been no greater evidence that the democrat party does not stand by what it preaches but pretends poorly to hide it’s naked obsession with power in their hands only. When will the voters actually wake up from the hypnotic trance that the party keeps them under? Probably not until the WWIII that their current figureheads (including Kamala) are leading everyone into hit their homes.
Why would any former President waste his time debating a vice President or anybody, for that matter, who is not officially the opposing party’s nominee for president? Kamala is an idiot who is trying to act tough but everybody knows who and what she is. This tactic is not going to work.
Make her work for the opportunity! Then let her have it!
