Liz Cheney Aligns Herself With Democrats in Latest Campaign Pledge

-

Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) is adding fuel to the fire that she is seriously considering abandoning the once and for all.

In her latest rebuke of the GOP, the outgoing Wyoming Congresswoman said she would be more than willing to cross party lines to boost Democrat candidates ahead of November's midterms.

Cheney, who has been a lifelong Republican, has become increasingly critical of the GOP since being removed as the House Conference Chairwoman last year. That along with Cheney's work with the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6th riot has triggered questions if the politician is considering officially switching parties.

The Wyoming Republican made the eyebrow-raising remark during the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin over the weekend where she also vowed to help Democrats defeat Trump-endorsed Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake.

Cheney vowed to “do everything I can to make sure that ,” doesn't win in November. Then, Cheney pivoted her attack to include Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) who recently campaigned for the GOP candidate.

“He's demonstrated that he's somebody who has not bought into the toxin of ,” Cheney said of Youngkin. “But he campaigned recently for Kari Lake, who's an election denier, who is dangerous.”

“That's the kind of thing we cannot see in our party,” she added. “We cannot see an accommodation like that, and I think it's very important that we be clear about that.”

However, it was Cheney's comments on former President Donald Trump over the weekend that has triggered speculation she may re-enter politics in the near future, as a registered Democrat, according to CNN.

“I'm going to make sure Donald Trump, I'm going to do everything I can to make sure he is not the nominee. And if he is the nominee, I won't be a Republican,” Cheney said.

Cheney has been floated as a possible presidential contender in 2024, but so far she's yet to confirm if she intends to run only that she's focused on keeping Trump away from the White House.

“It's not about me or making a decision about what I'm going to do,” she said. “I certainly will do whatever it takes to make sure Donald Trump isn't anywhere close to the Oval Office.”

  1. Does anyone honestly give a rat’s hind end what Liz Cheney thinks or what Liz Cheney might do??? Her own constituents gave her the thumbs down, so I believe she’s through. Let her go join her lefty friends like the rabid dog she is – she’ll fit right in.

  2. I have to admit our POLITICIANS are quite ruthless and uncouth these past 6 years. It’s time for them to get over themselves, clean out their garbaged filled minds, reflect on how THEY TREAT OTHERS instead of dumping their personal crap on WE THE PEOPLE! DISGUSTING! DEVELOP SOME CHARACTER INSTEAD OF MORE EGO!

  3. I don’t think Cheney has a future career in politics, Republican or Democrat in Wyoming. Maybe she ought to consider the Green Party to help save the planet from Global Warming.

  4. Lizard Cheney is a joyless old harridan who can go running home to Daddy the Arch-Globalist for tea and sympathy. She has sold what’s left of her humanity down the river. What her true values are…well, that’s anyone’s guess. But perhaps it is time for Lizzie to beam back up to the Mother Ship.
