Liz Cheney Betrays Republicans Again, Endorses Democrat Arizona Candidates

-

Wanna-be Democrat Liz Cheney attacked the Republican Party yet again.

During a stop in , the outgoing Wyoming rep. attempted to dissuade voters from supporting on the ballot this November by saying if she lived in the state, she would vote for .

“I don't know that I have ever voted for a Democrat. But if I lived in Arizona now, I absolutely would, for governor and for secretary of state,” Cheney said, during an appearance at a McCain Institute event in Tempe.

Cheney, and other Democrats, have repeatedly attacked the Republican candidate for governor, , who was endorsed by . Lake, a former TV news anchor, has led a unique campaign, one without the assistance of high-profile DC consultants, and has even refused to conduct a single private survey since she won the primary, according to POLITICO.

“We cannot be in a position where we elect people who will not fundamentally uphold the sanctity of elections. That's got to be more important than anything else,” Cheney continued.

Lake is facing off against Arizona Secretary of State this November. Election forecasters have predicted the race to be close and expect it to be one of the most closely watched races this year.

RealClearPolitics have rated the race a “toss up” and recent polls have reflected the same. A poll conducted by CBS News/You Gov reported the race as a “tie.”

Cheney's latest GOP betrayal came after the Republican declared in August she's considering leaving the party once and for all. The Wyoming Rep. made the comments during another attack on Lake. (RELATED: Liz Cheney Aligns Herself With Democrats in Latest Campaign Pledge)

  1. It could be the kiss of death for Hobbs. Dems may not be inclined to vote for a candidate endorsed by the opposite party. Besides, Litzy’s “endorsement” is meaningless.
