In an interview with NBC's Kristen Welker on Meet The Press, Governor Gretchen Whitmer was asked about Kamala's record, and her flip flopping on a growing list of issues.
“Let's talk big picture. The campaign is only a month old. Everything she's said in the past is starting to come into focus. When she ran in 2020, she called for banning fracking, supporting single-payer health care and eliminating private health insurance. The campaign says she no longer supports those positions. The Trump campaign is calling here a chameleon. Do you think vice president has to explain more on why she has shifted on those positions?”
Whitmer giggled before responding.
“Any insult from the Trump campaign is laughable when you think about his years in office and who he fought for. He fought for himself. He's laid out nothing in terms of a vision for America. He's feeding into people's anxieties and anger. That's what he's always does. He has never done anything that makes someone's life a little bit better.”
This is verifiably false, and makes no sense as a claim when Kamala herself is adopting some of the very same policies President Trump championed while in office — like a child tax credit (that she voted against as a senator). Under his leadership, unemployment reached record lows across demographics, and all-time lows for black and Hispanic Americans. He also granted two rounds of stimulus checks during the pandemic, and while it can be argued that it was a short term fix that created long term problems, Democrats largely supported the move at the time.
Whitmer continued:
“In fact, his time in office we have record job loss. We saw so many deaths from COVID because it was, he put out misinformation, denied that it was even a problem. I mean, this is a guy who he calls other people name, but offers nothing of value to the American people when it comes to a vision or a plan to make people's lives better. That contrast is stark. What you will see this week in Chicago is a bunch of happy warriors who understand the middle class, understand how we pull more people into the middle class and make sure every one of us can have the path of prosperity and live the American dream and take care of our families.”
The record job loss she's referring to had a lot more to do with Democrat governors — like herself — insisting on never-ending lockdowns that destroyed businesses and put millions out of work than President Trump's leadership. Of course, this probably isn't news to her. In 2020, it seemed like the Democrats knew coronavirus was all they really had to weaponize against the President, and promised the American people that Joe Biden would end the pandemic as they continued to enforce curfews, “social distancing,” and masking. That promise was predictably unfulfilled.
Her claim about misinformation and COVID deaths is particularly ironic, because she was one of a handful of left wing governors that insisted on forcing nursing homes and assisted living facilities to take in COVID positive patients, despite early evidence that the disease was deadliest for the elderly, resulting in a high number of entirely preventable deaths.
As eager as she and her Democratic colleagues are to rewrite history, President Trump took coronavirus seriously before they did, and shut down travel between China and the United States, only to be maligned as a racist and a xenophobe.
While Gretchen Whitmer's response makes it easy to forget, the original question was about Kamala's flip flopping, and as much as she'd like to deflect by blaming Trump for coronavirus deaths, Harris's own employees have acknowledged that she has reversed her position on multiple issues. In a stunning impression of Kamala Harris, Whitmer never actually answered the question.
Welker went on to ask Whitmer about Tim Walz's controversial drivers licenses free healthcare, and free college for illegal immigrants, and if she thought Harris should adopt those policies, as well as the Vice President's shrill response to pro-Palestine hecklers at a rally, and if Kamala should lean more into the historic nature of her campaign, vying for the title of first woman president. She didn't answer any of those questions either.
The only questions she did answer directly were about if she was confident a peaceful transfer of power would take place in 2025 if Trump were to lose, to which she said no, and a 2020 kidnapping and assassination plot against her, and if she still feared for her safety. She doesn't. Can her constituents in her crime ridden cities say the same?
Whimers response is laughable. She was responsible for locking down Michigan, and preventing churches and other businesses to operate, while keeping the abortion clinics and liquor stores open. She, like Cuomo, put infected seniors into nursing homes where deaths went wild. She prevent travel to vacation homes, while her husband tried to use his relationship with her to get his boat out of storage. She, like most democrats, is a hypocrite. She traveled to Florida while having Michigan locked down. And her mandates exceeded her authority.
Another puke inducing Communist hag.
Whitmer, as the absolute truths pointed out by the multitude of positives written above involving President Trump, is, as always, a bald faced liar. Being that, Her claim about misinformation and COVID deaths is particularly ironic, because she was one of a handful. along with then governor Andrew Cuomo and other left wing governors that insisted on forcing nursing homes and assisted living facilities to take in COVID positive patients, despite early evidence that the disease was deadliest for the elderly, resulting in a high number of entirely preventable deaths. So, she and the rest of the CDP (Communist Democrat Party) governors, are in fact, nothing but murderers….Hey Gretchen, try that hat on for size!!! Lying piece of garbage! As far as her kidnapping event, it was a total farce…just like she ….or it is
