Fox Business Network (FBN) has sidelined one of its most frequent guests, Alec Lace, after he made some less-than-savory remarks about the Democrat's now-presumptive presidential nominee, Kamala Harris.
Just a couple of weeks before the political earthquake of Joe Biden announcing he wouldn't seek reelection, Alec Lace took to FBN with a bold prediction: Vice President Kamala Harris was gearing up to take on Trump. But, as we all know, making predictions isn't the same as keeping it classy.
The Comment That Crossed the Line
Rather than stick to her political record or, you know, actual issues, Lace decided to go low. He baselessly accused Harris of climbing the political ladder through less-than-professional means. Yes, you guessed it – he went straight for the sexist trope. It's the kind of cheap shot that seasoned Fox News personalities and Republican stalwarts are advising against. (Pro tip for wannabe political pundits: focus on policies, not personalities!)
Repercussions? Oh, You Bet!
Unsurprisingly, the fallout was swift. While Lace might have thought he was being clever (reposting the clip multiple times), Fox Business clearly wasn't amused. Lace has been conspicuously absent from their lineup ever since. And no, he hasn't bothered to respond to Mediaite's request for a comment.
“And then there's the DEI press secretary telling you that the DEI vice president is the future of a party here,” Lace said, “so the future looks kind of dim for the Democrats here; but this is no shocker either. Kamala Harris, she's the original ‘Hawk Tuah' girl. That's the way she got where she is; and the party's going downhill if it's in her hands.”
“Hawk Tuah girl” is a reference to 22-year-old Hailey Welch, a woman who went viral for a video using the phrase to describe oral sex. Lace receive little pushback for his shocking comments on air, with host Dagen McDowell simply responding, “That was tough. That was harsh,” before moving on. Another Fox host on the panel, Sean Duffy, chuckled at the remark.
The Backlash from the Big Leagues
On Wednesday's episode of “Fox & Friends,” co-host Lawrence Jones threw down a cautionary note. Republicans targeting Harris with labels like “DEI hire” are in for a rough ride. It's a surefire way to turn the election into a battleground of identity politics and annoy a lot of voters, Jones warned.
The criticism is the result of several Republicans, including Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.), reiterating their assertion that Harris was solely chosen due to her race and gender.
Real Talk
House Speaker Mike Johnson spoke to a reporter on Tuesday to set the record straight. The election, he emphasized, should be about policies, not personalities. He urged his fellow Republicans to steer the conversation towards comparing the records of the Harris-Biden administration and the Trump administration. (Spoiler alert: he's betting on an extraordinary November.)
Your Turn: What Do You Think?
Do you think Alec Lace deserved to be booted off the air? Or is this a case of political correctness gone too far? Let us know in the comments below! And don't forget to share this article to keep the conversation going.

Maybe a cheap shot but oh so true!
Everything that Alec Lace said is true and everybody knows it, so let’s not play this gotcha game! The D’s & their media buddies do this every day talking about Republicans, and I’ve never heard you complain about that, so get over yourself!
I think Mr. Laces’ comments are spot on and he shouldn’t be banned. Isn’t this country based on freedom of speech and press? The current VP is the poster child for DEI. What has she done or accomplished in nearly four years? Nothing! Border czar? Big joke. She hadn’t even been there and believes it’s secure. Indirectly responsible for fentynol deaths. America cannot live through another 4 years of Bidenomics, Obamaism and continuous harmful blunders and decisions. We’re at the brink of a WWIII because of these power mongers! We need Trump to end this madness and make America great again!
Rdoch took 28 million from GeMorge Soros 2020 now has uniparty Paul Ryan working there
No he didn’t really go too far. Telling the truth is in no way in bad taste. Yes it is political correctness going to far. When a person regardless of their position cannot speak the truth it’s a shame. Everyone, including those within the Democratic Party said exactly the same things during to 2020 campaign season. She dropped out of the race before theee was even a vote because the voters just didn’t believe she was capable of the office. What changed? Nothing! She was picked for these reasons. She was a woman of color and checked some of the DEI woke boxes. What had she done in almost 4 years? Not a thing and I mean nothing. When asked if she’d been to the border multiple times she kept saying they’ve been to the border. When pressed and it was pointed out that she HADN’T been to the border, even though she was charged with dealing with the border, she looked right at the interviewer and said” well, I haven’t been to Europe either”! WHAT? Incompetence should be pointed out and that response should tell everyone that she didn’t get to the positions she held because she was good at the job. The fact that she as the side chick for Montee AND Brown tells you all you need to know about her character.
I’m sure that referring to Kamala Harris as a DEI hire doesn’t come anywhere near as disrespectful as referring to Donald Trump as Hitler so many times that someone tried to kill him and actually did kill someone.
why is it ok to degrade
Trump regarding his
background Kamala does have a history of
questionable behavior bring it on
Guess the truth hurts on fox when it’s about harris.
What’s “baseless” about saying she rose in politics by sleeping her way to the top? She did, and it’s proven. Kamala was mistress to Willie Brown (while he was married), and was appointed to a position she wasn’t qualified for by him. That’s what started her political career. Not baseless at all.
I believe it was Willie Brown who initially spoke of her in a similar fashion & nothing happened to him.
The original Hawk/tua Girl!! Hilarious but probably accurate!!! Kameltoe has her official Nickname!
Well, being a woman and seeing a lot of women getting ahead with their bods instead of brains, I tend to judge based on the brains the women may or may not display. In the case of Kamie, I do not see an abundance of brain applied. She is a woman who goes up those ladders, man by man in my opinion.
I agree with them taking him off air and saying those type of things only helps Kamala Harris and it does nothing to winning an election..
My question is why do the crews at MSNBC and CNN still say many times without any problem that Trump is a Facist and a Nazi without consequences….!
I agree with not going after Laughing Girl using her sex habits as a method of attacking her. Focus on her dismal record not only as Vice President but her abysmal behavior as a DA and the rest of her sordid political past. Don’t give her any reason to appear as the wounded party because she is not worthy of it.
