Benny Johnson Signals Possible Legal Action After Milo Yiannopoulos Alleges Sexual Misconduct

Conservative commentator Benny Johnson suggested Sunday that he may pursue legal action after Milo Yiannopoulos publicly accused him of engaging in inappropriate sexual behavior at political events. Yiannopoulos made the allegations during an appearance on Tim Pool’s podcast, prompting what appears to be an escalating conflict between the two figures.

“I am duty bound to take action to protect my family against those who maliciously defame and attack us,” Johnson wrote on X. “More to come on that soon.” In a follow-up post, he asked his four million followers to “pray for healing for some really sick and delusional people,” adding, “Jesus is about redemption. The legal system is about justice.”

Johnson did not name Yiannopoulos directly. However, the target of his comments appeared clear after Johnson’s wife, Kate Johnson, posted hours earlier that Yiannopoulos “needs prayer. And a good attorney.”

Yiannopoulos, a British media personality, rose to prominence in the mid-2010s as a conservative pundit, influencer, and journalist known for provocative commentary and campus speaking tours. His public stature collapsed after allegations of pederasty surfaced, leading to a rapid fall from grace and a retreat from mainstream conservative platforms. He largely faded from the political spotlight in the years that followed, though he has recently reemerged in various online spaces and political conversations.

Once a high-profile figure with significant influence in right-leaning media circles, Yiannopoulos has since operated on the fringes, reappearing periodically through guest appearances, social media activity, and interviews—including his recent appearance on Tim Pool’s show.

The potential lawsuit follows remarks Yiannopoulos made on Pool’s show two days earlier, in which he claimed that Johnson’s public image as a family man was false. Referring to Turning Point USA’s annual Student Action Summit (SAS), Yiannopoulos alleged: “Everybody knows what went on with Benny Johnson in those lobbies and in those hotel rooms at SAS… Everybody knows.” He also claimed Johnson had sexual interactions with “men, younger men,” while adding that he did not know of any who were underage.

Former congressman George Santos, who appeared as a guest on the episode, responded that he did not know what Yiannopoulos was referring to. Yiannopoulos further alleged that Johnson’s wife had been “crying drunk in the lobby” over her husband’s behavior during multiple events. Santos reacted with skepticism, at one point asking Yiannopoulos whether he was concerned about being sued. Yiannopoulos replied that he was not, claiming he is “right” and that he always has his “facts straight.”

Yiannopoulos responded again Sunday evening after the Johnsons’ posts. “I know more about defamation than any lawyer you will hire,” he wrote on X, asserting that Johnson is a public figure and saying he has “receipts.” He added, “The truth is a total defense against any claim of defamation or libel.”
