Bill Clinton Joins Harris Campaign In Southern Battleground States

Good luck…

In a move aimed at boosting support for Vice President Kamala Harris, former President Bill Clinton will campaign on her behalf in key southern battleground states, according to a statement from Harris campaign spokesperson Ian Sams. Clinton, often referred to as the “Big Dog” of Democratic politics, is set to focus on economic issues while drawing contrasts between Harris’s platform and former President Donald Trump’s age and policies.

This effort comes as the Harris campaign seeks to strengthen its outreach to male voters in rural areas, a demographic that has proven challenging for Democrats in recent elections. Clinton’s pull in these regions, particularly with voters who recall the economic growth of the 1990s during his presidency, is viewed as a potential asset to the Harris campaign.

However, Clinton’s involvement may stir controversy. Earlier this year, court documents from a 2015 lawsuit involving the late Jeffrey Epstein included claims by one of Epstein’s accusers, Johanna Sjoberg, that Epstein had mentioned Clinton in connection with inappropriate comments about young women. Clinton has denied any wrongdoing, asserting he was unaware of the crimes Epstein committed and maintains he had no involvement in Epstein’s illegal activities. As Business Insider reported at the time:

Records related to the Epstein accuser, Johanna Sjoberg, were made public Wednesday night as part of a batch of newly unsealed court documents related to the dead pedophile’s sex-trafficking partner Ghislaine Maxwell.

In a newly unsealed deposition, Sjoberg was asked whether Epstein ever talked to her about Clinton.

“He said one time that Clinton likes them young, referring to girls,” Sjoberg answered.

The deposition was taken on May 18, 2016, by a lawyer for Virginia Giuffre, who brought a civil lawsuit against Maxwell. Giuffre alleged that Maxwell defamed her when she denied her claims that Epstein and Maxwell trafficked her for sex.

Giuffre alleged she was victimized by Epstein’s associate, Great Britain’s Prince Andrew, a claim corroborated by Sjoberg.

While Clinton rallies in the South, former President Barack Obama is also joining the Harris campaign’s efforts with planned events in Pennsylvania, where he’s leading a voter mobilization drive. The campaign is hoping that the dual effort from two high-profile former presidents will provide a much-needed boost to Harris’s appeal among crucial voting blocs, especially males, in key swing states.

The Harris campaign’s strategy underscores the importance of both Southern and Rust Belt states in the upcoming election, where securing every vote will be indispensable to success.
