Biden’s New Budget Doesn’t Absolve Him of Attacks on Police

-

President is desperate to distance himself from the left's anti-police rhetoric.

Even Biden realizes the toxicity of his party's new cop-hating fixation. Not only do police officers deserve better, but the messaging is also repugnant to swing voters. Their focus remains, justifiably, on inflation and other economic indicators, which has negated any meager wage increases the administration loves to promote.

Indeed, with Americans upset over food and gas prices increasing at levels not seen in decades, more astute Democrats have tried to sound the alarm over the fallout from their party's tone-deaf social justice crusades.

But even as relatively judicious Democrats try to warn of the impending disaster, another reality looms — that it's likely too late to change course.

Like the Titantic's belated turn to avoid the iceberg that doomed most of its crew and passengers, the reality that Democrats are out of touch with ordinary Americans has seemingly stuck.

But that hasn't stopped the from concocting a last-ditch plan to rescue its perilous congressional majorities or, at least, limit their losses.

A Political Hail Mary

The desperate proposal comes in Biden's latest budget. The administration wants to throw money at besieged police departments in the hope their overworked and underappreciated officers will forget the Democrat's war on cops.

Trust me — they won't.

And as the National Center for Police Defense's Vice President Bert Elyer explains in his April newsletter, neither should you:

President Biden's new budget includes $30 billion in new police spending, which will last a decade, in an attempt to placate and hide the fact from the public that the damage is already done. Police throughout the United States have been demoralized to the point that suicide is up more than 40%! Three hundred Chicago police officers have retired since the beginning of the year. This exodus shows you that what funding Biden has requested in his budget doesn't matter because the time for refunding has passed. Money is not going to fix the issue. Law enforcement officers need the support of strong prosecutors, judges and a system that will keep criminals in jail and make sure that the most serious crimes are punished to the full extent of the law.

Those in charge need to recognize that law enforcement officers have chosen this career because they believe that we live in a country of laws that need to be enforced. However, the people that live under those laws deserve to be protected from the scum that breaks them. That's why these brave men and women become cops. The politicians at the local, state and federal levels, along with the , need to support our police and military, or there won't be a strong professional police force. Soon our law enforcement professionals will transcend into woke, uncaring, unprofessional robots, insensitive and inhuman.

Officers Will Continue to Quit in Droves

Furthermore, without support from within, the undying hate that some people have for the cops will never end. Police officers will continue to leave if we stop protecting them and their families by stripping away protections like qualified immunity. These problems must be addressed. Stop making police officers out as villains.

Black Lives Matter and Antifa destroyed half the country by rioting in major cities while good cops were told to sit on their hands. BLM's so-called leaders bought a $6 million mansion in L.A., and multiple states' attorneys general are currently investigating the organization. From the beginning, BLM was a bogus group funded by George Soros and his cronies to create chaos and tear America to shreds. The two things Americans used to be able to depend on were the police and military! The police have been reduced to gofers by politicians like Eric Adams and Lori Lightfoot, while the commander-in-chief has abandoned the military. My guess is that $30 billion won't go very far towards healing the police or helping the police or refunding the police — what the Biden administration will use it for is to try and recreate the police.

Don't Let the Democrats Win

Don't let the Democrats pull the wool over voters' eyes. Their rhetoric has had a tangible effect. Despite an undeniable increase in violent , cities like Austin and have starved their departments of financing — when they needed it most.

Medium-to-large cities across the country, from Portland, Oregon to Pittsburgh, have witnessed a rise in murders not seen since the early 90s.

Virtually all of them have Democrat mayors.

Meanwhile, emboldened, far-left district attorneys continue to focus on persecutive police officers while releasing violent criminals.

In many cases, organizations like the National Center for Police Defense are the only line of defense targeted officers have outside of their colleagues and unions.

What NCPD is Doing and How You Can Help

NCPD provided American Liberty News with a list of cases “that are scheduled for trial in the next four months,” including cases in the appeals process.

NCPD currently has three appeals cases:

  • Trooper Mark Bessner; Detroit, Michigan
  • Officer Brandon Dingman; Wilson, Oklahoma
  • Officer Josh Taylor; Wilson, Oklahoma

Additionally, NCPD is helping to represent four officers in their upcoming trials:

  • Officer Jovanny Crespo; Newark,
  • Officer Aaron Dean; Fort Worth, Texas
  • Officer Chance Bretches; Austin, Texas
  • Sgt. Daniel Perry (U.S. Army); Austin, Texas

In his monthly newsletter, Bert encourages supporters to “Go to the NCPD website for a full explanation of each police officer's story and learn how the system they protect and serve has turned on them. They are left to face a system they protected and now has turned against them for doing the job the way they were trained to do it. Go to: www.nationalcenterforpolicedefense.com.”
