ANALYSIS – Where Germany goes, Europe follows. The German government says it is imposing temporary land border restrictions to control illegal migration and growing migrant crime.
This, in addition to some recent deadly extremist attacks. No word yet on whether the foreigners are eating local ducks, but I wouldn’t doubt it.
Sound familiar?
Germany’s interior minister said the restrictions were designed to protect the country from “the acute dangers posed by Islamist terrorism and serious crime.”
And for good reason.
Last month, a Syrian asylum-seeker in Solingen killed three people with a knife. The terrorist claimed to be inspired by the Islamic State group. In June, an Afghan national left a local police officer dead and four other people wounded in another knife attack.
Between 2015 and 2016 Germany foolishly welcomed more than one million supposed refugees from war-torn Syria, most, if not all, being Muslim.
Since then crime and chaos has skyrocketed.
This crackdown is important because open borders among the European Union’s (EU) 27 members is a significant aspect of the union. The European visa-free travel area is known as the Schengen Zone, and it allows citizens of most EU countries to travel easily across borders
And Germany is de facto the leader of Europe, at least in size and economy, and shares more borders with other countries than any other member state.
The nine states bordering Germany are Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria and Switzerland, as well as France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark.
Meanwhile, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland also belong to Schengen even though they are not members of the EU.
The continuing massive wave of migration to Europe has understandably provoked a strong backlash and is partly fueling the rise of right-wing parties that promise to impose far stricter migration controls.
Most recently, the Alternative for Germany (AfD) became the first far-right party to win a regional election in Germany since World War II.
Witness also the recent anti-migrant protests and riots in the UK.
The current German border closures are set to last six months and are threatening to test European unity. Most of Germany’s neighbors are fellow members of the EU.
While agreeing to free trade and travel within the bloc, EU member states are allowed to reintroduce controls at the EU’s ‘internal (national) borders’ in case of a serious threat. Still, these temporary border controls should only be applied as a last resort and must be time limited.
Hence the six-month deadline. But expect these measures to be reinstated again afterwards, especially as the right continues to gain strength across Europe.
The question for us is, how much more crime and damage do our massive wave of illegals here in the U.S. – invited in and protected by the Biden-Harris team – have to do before we wake up.
Our only solution to this illegal migration crisis is a second Trump presidency that includes mass deportations and strict border control.
If not, it may be too late to save America.

Well Europe is suffering from the Muslim invasion that began a few years ago. They are now trying to slow down the illegals, got news for you, ain’t going to work.Too late.
It’s taken them how many years to figure this out while they were chastising us for trying to protect our southern border?
I could care less about Germany, they went to hell years ago by letting all the muslims into their Country. The same thing is happening in the USA with all the muslims and people of color that are being let into our Country. Crimes and killings have increased and the Democratic Party does nothing about it except letting more and more in.
Great article with solid data. America…WAKE UP before it’s too late!
