Megyn Kelly warned that she believes legacy media's days are numbered, and that as they continue to parrot wildly unpopular talking points and refuse to do their jobs or cover Trump fairly, they will fade into obscurity and irrelevance.
The Daily Caller reports:
SiriusXM's Megyn Kelly said Monday during a podcast with former Navy SEAL and CIA contractor Shawn Ryan that Americans are “living in the end times” of corporate media, predicting its potential demise.
The former Fox host insisted that part of the issue was corporate media being out of touch with most Americans and echoing and justifying far left view points that the average viewer can't relate to, and referenced biological men in women's sports and immigration.
“Yes, we're living in the end times for corporate media I guess we'll call it? I don't — they're not mainstream. Is it mainstream to go out there every day and say that guys should be allowed to punch women in the face at the Olympics and pretend they're women? That's not mainstream. Seventy percent, more really, but 70% of the Americans polled say they don't want it. They don't want men in women's sports or boys in girl sports. That's not mainstream. You and I are the mainstream, they're not. Is it mainstream to say open the borders and give amnesty to them all?”
She went onto explain the end of corporate media's reign as a positive for the country that should be embraced.
“I hate that term because it's a misnomer. But yes we're living through the end times for them. Which is a glorious thing, we should be celebrating that. That's one of the few great things we have to think about right now in public life. That and the Supreme Court are the two things I wrap myself in like a blanket when I go to bed at night.”
Readers should note that Democrats are expressing the intent to pass legislation that would destroy the integrity and independence of the United States Supreme Court if they secure a governing majority in November, including court packing, biennial appointments for sitting presidents, and only allowing recently appointed judges to participate in high profile cases.
Kelly went on to blast legacy media for the glaring disparities in their coverage of President Trump versus President Biden, and insisted that if President Trump is reelected it will be the nail in the coffin for them, as she anticipated them resuming the habits that isolated so many Americans during Trump's first term.
“Hello, we have a whole White House Press corp that didn't figure out he was being visited regularly by a Parkinson's doctor. You think they'd missed that with Trump? In fairness to them, Trump didn't put out his logs. But my point is they had no interest in finding out anything bad about Joe Biden. So I do think they'll just drive more people away but they're already dying.”
The Daily Caller continues:
Kelly's viewership in July soared past legacy media outlets, reaching 2.3 million subscribers and 116.8 million views, according to Semafor. In comparison, NBC News had 78 million views, CBS News 83 million views and BBC News 72 million views, the outlet reported.
Predicts The Downfall?
It’s already happened!!! The lamestream media are just shills for the Uniparty (and mostly the Dem wing of that. Journalism and Investigative Reporting are dead; media are just working for the political parties, and increasingly the Government.
Dont forget, Fox is also corporate media.
In my 8th grade homeroom class at Axtell Park Junior High in Sioux Falls, S.D., teacher Jim Norberg would always have Paul Harvey on the radio in class and it came to be my favorite hour of the day. When I entered broadcasting it was always my hope to have the same level of heart felt authenticity that Paul Harvey exemplified, and something that is sorely missing in media today.
