MSNBC's Joe Scarborough went on a rant, making bizarre and verifiably false assertions about what a second Trump term would mean for the country.
“This is one of the things that I've just not understood, and we've said it here. We all talk about saving democracy and how democracy is threatened by a man who said he was going to terminate the Constitution, a man who said he was going to be a dictator on day one, a man who said he was going to kill his political enemies with Seal Team Six or if he chose to kill his enemies with Seal Team Six and count be arrested while he was President of the United States. We're talking about a man who's said he's going to have military tribunals for his critics — for people like Liz Cheney. I could keep going down the list.”
These outlandish claims are entirely exaggerated and fabricated. There is no record of Trump vowing to. “terminate the Constitution” and it's a particularly surprising claim considering the lack of concern for the founding document exhibited by the Biden-Harris administration. It's the same rhetoric that was used and abused during the 2016 election cycle, but never came to fruition in Trump's presidency.
“So, yeah, the threats to democracy are real. But the threats to the free market, the threats to free enterprise, to our economy, I mean, Andrew Ross Sorkin, obvious, this is a guy who, as we have said, who's talking about being an autocrat.”
This is another bizarre claim from Scarborough, as the issue most voters trust Trump on is the economy. Polling has shown most voters believe they were better off financially under the Trump-Pence administration than are in the Biden-Harris administration.
“And not just talking about going after political enemies but going after people, CEOs that don't agree with his policies, a guy that's talking about actually moving all the power in, moving the power of the Fed into his hands, moving the power of the FEC into his hands, FCC, moving the power of what TV networks are on air, what TV networks are off the air, deciding who goes to jail, he said it, and who doesn't go to jail. Really, I would think any Fortune 500 CEO would be like, ‘I cannot deal with all the question marks that would be hanging over this guy over the next four years.'”
Trump hasn't made any statements suggesting he'd take TV stations off air or jail random CEOs that disagree with his policies. Many high profile business owners and leaders criticized him throughout his presidency, and none faced repercussions.
The Biden-Harris administration has been caught coordinating with employees of Big Tech companies in an effort to suppress and silence criticisms of their leadership, suggesting that they would actually be more prone to carrying out the tyrannical measures that Scarborough is describing.
In an exchange with his co-host and guest, he went on to consider that the only reason anyone supports Trump is because they've been “bullied” into it by the Republican Party and his campaign.
Joe Scarborough needs to see a phsychiatrist. He is obviously delusional. Trump has said none of these things. Other than he would be a dictator on Day 1 ONLY to close the border and start massive deportation, but for nothing else. I saw him make that statement with my own eyes and I heard it with my own ears.
The “so called” journalists on the left continue to spew massive amounts of lies about Trump. I wish it were a crime to lie to their viewers like they do on a daily basis.
Joe Scarborough is completely off his rocker. Let me ask you this Joe, didn’t Kamala and Joe both say they were going to censor people who lie about spreading false information? If that’s true which it is you, Kamala, and joe should both be censored, because all 3 of you guys are spreading lies. You must think all the american people are stupid. Well I will speak for myself and say I definitely don’t believe anything that comes out of your mouths. It’s all lies.
verifiably false. Liberals no longer care about the truth or what is real. They only spew their ideology. They are so full of hate they can’t see straight or use common sense.
