CNN political commentator Scott Jennings has reportedly thrown his hat into the ring to be considered for President-elect Trump’s Press Secretary.
According to Axios, the competition to represent the incoming administration is “fierce,” with Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt, legal spokeswoman Alina Habba, and former Trump administration official and former Fox News personality Monica Crowley all making their case for the coveted role.
Ex-ESPN host Sage Steele, Jennings—who previously worked in the Bush White House—and RNC spokeswoman Elizabeth Pipko “are also vying for the role,” per Axios.
Jennings emerged as one of the former and future president’s most reliable and impassioned advocates on CNN during the last few months of the general election, after initially criticizing Trump after his 2020 election loss.
Last Wednesday, Jennings called Trump’s victory a “a big deal,” and “mandate” to implement his agenda.
“This isn’t backing into the office. This is a mandate to do what you said you were going to do. Get the economy working again for regular working-class Americans. Fix immigration. Try to get crime under control. Try to reduce the chaos in the world. This is a mandate from the American people to do that. I think I’m interpreting the results tonight as the revenge of just a regular old working-class American,” he argued
According to Mediaite’s Diana Falzone, Habba has emerged as the early frontrunner for the role, though no decision has been made yet.

I think if we pick someone for this post, it should not be someone who represents everything Trump has been fighting against! CNN has been a HUGE thorn in Trumps side for over 8 years, now, so picking someone from that venue would be pure insanity! Just sayin…
