Amid reports that former Hawaii Democrat congresswoman and current nominee to be the next director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard was placed on a terrorist watchlist, a nonprofit public interest law firm is suing the Department of Homeland Security to find out why.
Judicial Watch reports it filed “a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for records on former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard being targeted for surveillance under the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) ‘Quiet Skies’ terrorist watch program.”
“The Transportation Security Administration is a component of the Department of Homeland Security. As noted in the December 11 court order, Judicial Watch seeks to expedite the lawsuit,” JW reports.
“The Biden administration’s decision to place Tulsi Gabbard on a terrorist watchlist is abusive on its face,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “Given her pending nomination to director of national intelligence, this issue should quickly be cleared up, and those responsible be held accountable.
In a statement, Judicial Watch reports:
On August 4, 2024, it was reported that “several Federal Air Marshal whistleblowers have come forward with information showing that former U.S. Representative and Presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard is currently enrolled in the Quiet Skies program.”
On August 23, 2024, the House Oversight Committee wrote to David P. Pekoske, the administrator for the Transportation Security Administration, that Gabbard was added “to the Quiet Skies program on July 23, 2024 – one day after she criticized the Biden administration in an interview.”
Gabbard, who on Novebmer 13, 2024, was nominated by President-elect Donald Trump to be the next director of national intelligence, subsequently confirmed the reports, asserting in a video she posted on X that she had learned that three air marshals were assigned to watch her every time she “traveled in the airport and on the flight.” Gabbard added, “TSA deployed explosive canine detection teams and a TSA explosion specialist.”
Judicial Watch sued after Homeland Security failed to respond to three August 5, 2024, FOIA requests for records of Homeland Security Department and Transportation Security Administration officials regarding both Gabbard and its “Quiet Skies” program.
According to the DHS web site, “Quiet Skies” is a “tool that allows the Federal Air Marshal Service to more efficiently deploy law enforcement resources to focus on travelers who may present an elevated risk to aviation security.”

While it is certainly more likely than not that Tulsi Gabbard was placed on the Terrorist Watch List out of spite, to punish her for criticizing the Biden administration. Spite is second only to personal enrichment and self-aggrandizement in the factors motivating all Joe Biden’s actions.
But it is also true that the TSA, formed in haste after 9/11, is a Keystone Kops agency much of whose actions are ineffective or downright ridiculous. I have a friend who was also placed on the Terrorist Watch List, at a time when he was still an Air Force Reserve F-16 pilot, carrying live ammunition, bombs and missiles, and authorized to carry nuclear weapons, and was also an airline captain certified as a Federal Flight Deck Officer, meaning he was required to carry a loaded .40 caliber handgun in the cockpit. Every time he went to work, he carried his weapon through the TSA checkpoint, as required, and was then subjected to enhanced inspection looking for contraband toothpaste or nail clippers. He would joke with TSA screeners about it; all they could do was shrug and do as they were told. Pure insanity.

I am sorry Ruth, but it is far from over. As long as the evil people remain in their respective places in the government, the corruption will go on. Pray that President Trump and his administration root out all those who defy the Constitution, and consequently, the American People. Mind you, there are civil laws in place that protect all Federal Employees that they cannot be fired, which means that protection must be removed by our legislature. This is why Biden has placed 2500 to 3000 political operatives within the current bureaucracies and put them under that umbrella of civil protection.
If there was a legitimate reason to put Tulsi Gabbard on the terrorists watch list you can be sure that would have been divulged by Democrats in order to derail her appointment in the Trump Administration. The fact that didn’t happen and that the Biden Administration withheld providing the answer through a legal FOIA request tells you this is yet another example of weaponizing the government against the Democrats political opponents.

The Department of Homeland Security was dropped on us in a time of fear…manufactured fear! With it came the Patriot Act, which gave government permission to spy on everybody!
Now, we learn this bloated Police Force has created sub-bureaucracies on their own! How many new employee salaries does this create? What’s the cost? Does anyone care?
