In a bold move on his first day in office, President Donald Trump issued an executive order that rescinded 78 executive actions implemented by his predecessor, President Joe Biden. The sweeping order immediately began reversing key policies spanning immigration, climate change, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), marking a clear break from the Biden administration’s priorities.
The White House confirmed that Trump’s order effectively invalidates several significant measures enacted by Biden during his tenure, and sets the stage for more reversals to follow in the coming days. According to Trump, the rescinded policies were detrimental to the country and his executive actions aim to undo the damage caused by Biden’s administration.
Biden’s first executive order, titled “Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government,” aimed to promote DEI initiatives within government agencies and institutions. Trump rescinded that initiative, as well as a series of related racial equity-focused actions.
In a statement released by the White House, Trump declared, “We will terminate every diversity, equity, and inclusion program across the entire federal government,” framing these initiatives as divisive and counterproductive.
Additionally, Trump’s action rolls back Biden’s decision to halt the deportation of criminal illegal aliens and his administration’s expansion of benefits for illegal immigrants. These measures are part of Trump’s broader push to reinstate tougher border controls, which he considers essential for safeguarding national security.
“We’re going to have a great border, we’re going to have more energy than you’ve ever had, and we’re never going back,” Trump vowed in a statement.
Another focal point of Trump’s executive order is the rollback of Biden’s climate initiatives. Among the measures being reversed are Biden’s electric vehicle (EV) mandate, which aimed to phase out gas-powered vehicles by 2030, as well as aggressive emissions standards designed to reduce carbon output. Trump is also targeting Biden’s actions to cancel the Keystone XL pipeline, halt oil drilling on federal lands, and impose new restrictions on fossil fuel energy production.
Trump has been an outspoken critic of Biden’s climate policies, arguing that they impose unnecessary burdens on the U.S. economy and energy independence. His administration’s actions on these fronts will likely lead to an increased focus on boosting domestic oil and gas production, as well as loosening environmental regulations that Trump believes stifle job creation and economic growth.
This move to rescind 78 executive orders is just the beginning. According to a White House fact sheet, Trump’s executive order mandates a comprehensive review of all of Biden’s actions, which could lead to further rescissions over the next several months.
A report by Fox News suggests that Trump plans to sign more than 200 additional executive orders in his first days in office. These include measures to curb government overreach, limit federal regulations, and rein in what Trump has referred to as the “weaponization” of the federal bureaucracy.
On top of these reversals, Trump is also withdrawing the U.S. from the Paris Climate Accords, reinstating a hiring freeze on federal civilian employees, and putting in place a new directive that mandates all federal agencies submit new regulations for review and approval by Trump’s appointed department heads before they can take effect.

Looks like our President is back in control, looking out for us, IF he can just get all of our companies back that moved to China now.
Do we really want all the companies that moved out of the USA back?
Wouldn’t it be better to replace them with new more efficient and innovative ones.
