The House of Representatives on Wednesday approved a war powers resolution aimed at ending unauthorized U.S. military involvement in Iran, marking the most significant congressional challenge yet to President Donald Trump’s handling of the conflict.

The measure, sponsored by Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-N.Y.) invokes the 1973 War Powers Resolution and would require the administration to obtain explicit authorization from Congress before continuing hostilities against Iran, except in cases involving an imminent threat to the United States. The vote followed months of growing bipartisan concern over a conflict that began in.

President Trump’s border czar revealed he’s closing in on the person believed to be responsible for leaking key details of an ICE operation in Aurora, Colorado.

Tom Homan said the leaked information reportedly allowed members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua (TDA) to evade capture last week as federal agents were met with mostly empty apartments and buildings. In the end, about 30 people were taken into custody.

“We think it’s coming from inside. And we know the first leak in Aurora is under current investigation. We think we’ve identified that person,” Homan said on “Hannity,” Monday.

Homan has been vocal about the dangers of leaks, emphasizing both operational setbacks and risks to law enforcement officers.

“It’s just not giving the bad guys a heads-up so they can escape apprehension,” he said. “You’re putting officers’ lives at risk. It’s only a matter of time before we walk into a place where there’s going to be a bad guy [who] doesn’t care. He’s going to be sitting in wait to ambush an officer. This is not a game.”

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Times reported that another ICE memo detailing an upcoming raid in Los Angeles was leaked. The document outlined plans to target individuals without legal status and those with pending removal orders.

Despite the setbacks, Homan insists the leaks will not derail ICE’s mission.

“I’m going to double the manpower in those sanctuary cities,” he said. “If we can’t get them in their homes, we’ll get them at their place of employment.”

“Sanctuary cities [are] a sanctuary for criminals, bottom line. So, we’re going to do everything we can to find them. Regardless of what it takes, we got a strong president in the White House; he’s giving us all the authority we need. We’re coming.”

In response to the latest leak, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem accused the FBI of corruption.

“The FBI is so corrupt,” Noem wrote on X. “We will work with any and every agency to stop leaks and prosecute these crooked deep state agents to the fullest extent of the law.”

Homan confirmed Monday that “some of the information we’re receiving tends to lead toward the FBI” and promised consequences for whoever is found responsible.

“I talked to the deputy attorney general all this weekend. They’ve opened up a criminal investigation, and they have promised that not only this person lose their job and lose their pension, they will go to jail.”

Thank=you Mr. Homan. I appreciate your passion for protecting the sovereignty of the United States. As far as tracking down the leaks. Once you identify those people leaking this information I hope you send a clear message to to every government employee contemplating imitating this type of action that there will be retribution for this type of action. I and my follow conservatives would appreciate these people being fined and imprisoned for treasonous actions against the United States. Thanks once again for all you do for protecting this great land.

Tom, I appreciate your commitment and action to protect US Citizens from illegal migrant gangs’ criminal behavior. I suggest that you advise potential traitors to the United States that a 1790s law will be resurrected (detailed below) and that TRAITORS to the USA will RECEIVE PUNITIVE DISSECTION (A Fate Worse than Death) or be hung by the neck until dead. The Crimes Act of 1790 (or the Federal Criminal Code of 1790),[1] formally titled An Act for the Punishment of Certain Crimes Against the United States, defined some of the first federal crimes in the United States and expanded on the criminal procedure provisions of the Judiciary Act of 1789.[2] The Crimes Act was a “comprehensive statute defining an impressive variety of federal crimes”.[3]

As an enactment of the First Congress, the Crimes Act is often regarded as a quasi-constitutional text. The punishment of treason, piracy, counterfeiting, as well as crimes committed on the high seas or against the law of nations, followed from relatively explicit constitutional authority.[4] The creation of crimes within areas under exclusive federal jurisdiction followed from the plenary power of Congress over the “Seat of the Government”, federal enclaves, and federal territories.[5] The creation of crimes involving the integrity of the judicial process derived from Congress’s authority to establish such courts.

The Crimes Act also established a statute of limitations for federal crimes, provided for criminal venue, ensured procedural protections for treason and capital defendants, simplified the pleading requirements for perjury, and provided protections broader than those in the Constitution against corruption of blood. Further, the act provided for punitive dissection of murderers and codified diplomatic immunity.
