Is it an incipient, low-level insurgency? Well, this is usually how they begin. As I noted in an earlier piece, the violent left-wing violent “resistance” to President Trump and MAGA has begun, focused, for now, primarily on the former left-wing darlings Elon Musk and Tesla.
Groups ranging from a few dozen to several hundred are now protesting Tesla vehicle lots.
More worrisome though, a two week-long wave of shootings, firebombings with Molotov cocktails and serious destruction of property at Tesla dealerships across the country, launched the left’s supposedly peaceful “Tesla Takedown” campaign over the past month.
And it clearly wasn’t just a random series of attacks. (RELATED: Trump, Musk And The Reality Behind ‘Innocent’ Bureaucracies)
🚨🇺🇸FBI NOW PROBING TESLA ARSON AS TERRORISM
— Mario Nawfal (@MarioNawfal) March 19, 2025
The FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force is now investigating a firebomb attack on Tesla’s Las Vegas facility after a suspect torched cars with Molotov cocktails and fired into vehicles.
Trump has vowed to treat Tesla vandals as… https://t.co/awbZITbhvF pic.twitter.com/vHCs5TYzgv
It is organized, it is ongoing and growing politically motivated violence or “direct action,” as the left calls it. And the establishment media is downplaying it as just protest or “vandalism,” even after spending years exaggerating the threat from “right-wing extremists.”
Though to be clear, I did label the political violence at the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot at the time as criminal and a form of domestic terrorism violence, similar to the violent BLM riots. I also opposed President Trump’s blanket pardon of violent J6s.
Still, unlike one day Jan 6 riot, the anti-Tesla violences is an ongoing effort of political intimidation, more akin to the months of fiery BLM riots in 2020.
Of course, some of the most violent anti-Tesla incidents have been reported in far-left cities in the Pacific Northwest, like Portland, Oregon and Seattle, where anti-Trump and anti-Musk sentiment runs high. And then there’s Las Vegas.
PBS reported:
On Friday, witnesses reported a man poured gasoline on an unoccupied Tesla Model S and started a fire on a Seattle street.
In Las Vegas, several Tesla vehicles were set ablaze early Tuesday outside a Tesla service center where the word “resist” was also painted in red across the building’s front doors. Authorities said at least one person threw Molotov cocktails—crude bombs filled with gasoline or another flammable liquid—and fired several rounds from a weapon into the vehicles.
While no one has been seriously injured, yet, both President Trump and Attorney General Pam Bondi, as well as Musk and me, have called the violence “domestic terrorism.” And they are correct.
PBS noted: Is “this terrorism? …something else?” Spencer Evans, the special agent in charge of the Las Vegas FBI office, said at a news conference.
“It certainly has some of the hallmarks that we might think—the writing on the wall, potential political agenda, an act of violence.”
Of course, it’s domestic terrorism.
The Code of Federal Regulations defines terrorism as “the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.”
And part of the definition of domestic terrorism, according to the Patriot Act, is acts “dangerous to human life” intended “to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion.”
The direct actions against Tesla and Musk are textbook examples of terrorism.
So, why is this Tesla Takedown movement growing?
PBS notes:
In Trump’s first term, his properties in New York, Washington and elsewhere became a natural place for protest. In the early days of his second term, Tesla is filling that role.
“Tesla is an easy target,” said Randy Blazak, a sociologist who studies political violence. “They’re rolling down our streets. They have dealerships in our neighborhoods.”
But will Team Trump take assertive action?

According to the New York Times, AG Bondi is ready:
“The swarm of violent attacks on Tesla property is nothing short of domestic terrorism,” Ms. Bondi wrote in a statement. “We will continue investigations that impose severe consequences on those involved in these attacks, including those operating behind the scenes to coordinate and fund these crimes.”
There is no stand-alone federal domestic terrorism law that includes penalties, although it is defined under federal statute, so those charged in the attacks would be charged under other federal laws. Ms. Bondi did not specify what charges could be brought, but she said that if convicted, some of those accused could face sentences of at least five years in prison.
In a Fox Business interview, Bondi also warned the anti-Musk radicals to “watch out because we’re coming after you.” (RELATED: Attorney General Bondi Goes To War With Radical Musk Detractors In Explosive Legal Move)
Trump has also threatened action, warning that those who target the company are “going to go through hell.”
The Tesla Takedown movement, led and funded by well-known leftist groups (at least five Democrat-run ActBlue-funded groups are responsible for the Tesla “protests, and ActBlue is funded by George Soros among other wealthy leftists).
Meanwhile, the protests clearly overlap with the violent anti-Tesla attacks. Musk has personally targeted participants, arguing that it’s all organized at the highest levels of the far-left Democrat establishment. And he is correct.
Thankfully, Bondi said she’d opened an investigation “to see how this is being funded, who is behind this.”
In a statement Tuesday, she vowed to “continue investigations that impose severe consequences,” including for “those operating behind the scenes to coordinate and fund these crimes.”
Let’s hope that these aren’t just idle words.

I will bet donuts to dollars that democrats are not trashing their star link modems and cancelling their subscriptions
That would make a financial impact on Tesla. Musk has multiple companies involved in many markets industries.
Burning cars you don’t own is criminal and you go to jail and you have proved nothing.
Cancel your subscription Make it count oh but then you’d have to use dial up bwhahaha
