A recent leak from Amazon’s internal Slack messaging system has revealed disturbing messages in which employees express deep disdain for Donald Trump supporters, even going so far as to compare them to Nazis and members of the Ku Klux Klan. The leaked messages, exclusively obtained by the X account Woke War Room, underscore the apparent deepening political divide within the e-commerce giant and raise concerns about the company’s potential bias in censoring political opinions that do not align with its employees’ left-leaning views.
The leaked conversations show Amazon employees mocking and vilifying those on the right, especially the MAGA movement. In one exchange, Amazon employee Patrick Michaelsen referred to hand gestures from the Trump campaign, which he likened to a Nazi salute. Michaelsen’s colleague, Ellie Hussey, agreed, insisting that the media was not calling it out for what it was. Other employees, such as Vishal Bardoloi and Kristen Brewer, joined the conversation, claiming that any debate about the gesture’s meaning was unnecessary because they believed the intentions were clear.
The discussions escalated when Michaelsen predicted that the Nazi salute would eventually become common among right-wing individuals, with conservatives using it to “troll the libs” and gain a reaction. Another Amazon employee, Matt Williams, chimed in, suggesting that the right-wing’s actions were part of a larger “mob mentality” meant to manipulate and control the opposition.
The leak also included a meme shared by an employee named Nick Kartsioukas, which mocked the word “woke,” claiming it stood for “Whatever Offends Klansmen Easily.” The meme received positive responses from other employees, including laughing emojis and raised hands, signaling approval.
These messages, while coming from a few individuals, paint a troubling picture of the political environment at Amazon. The company, known for its left-leaning stance, has made efforts to embrace more inclusive practices and bridge divides within its workforce. However, the leaked conversations raise questions about how deeply ingrained leftist views are within Amazon’s corporate culture and how much influence it has on the company’s policies, particularly in terms of censorship.
In response to the leak, Amazon spokesperson Montana MacLachlan distanced the company from the views expressed in the Slack messages, stating that they “do not represent the perspective of the company.” MacLachlan further emphasized that Amazon does not tolerate discrimination or harassment in its workplace and investigates any reported incidents of policy violations, including the potential for termination.
The incident raises questions about the power of large corporations in shaping public discourse, with critics arguing that tech giants like Amazon may have an undue influence on political speech and censorship, especially when their employees’ personal biases seep into the workplace.

What is your problem here? That some Amazon employees have different political views than you do?
Amazon is not in the political influence business. What you are reporting here is not Amazon Corporate influencing political speech—it is the opinion of some employees.
If you are concerned “about the power of large corporations in shaping public discourse,” why aren’t you complaining about Fox News lying in Trump’s favor to half the country (as proven during its $2.7 billion defamation lawsuit)?
If you are concerned “about the power of large corporations in shaping public discourse,” why aren’t you complaining about Elon Musk buying the Presidency for Trump with a $280 million donation to his election campaign?
I think being out of a job would be just great for those fools.
Time for me to cancel my account with Amazon because nothing is going to happen to these people if Amazon keeps employees like these people then Amazon will go the way Sears and other stores went out of business and I would not be surprised if these same people were members of BLM and Antifa or some other organization. Jeff best start firing these people and now.
Apparently the Federal Gov’t now has or wishes to have “undue influence on political speech and censorship” by banning books , education programs, and news organizations it doesn’t find suck-uppy enough.
