A Minnesota government employee accused of vandalizing six Teslas and causing more than $21,000 in damage won’t face charges, thanks to a decision by Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty (D). The alleged vandal, Dylan Adams, works under Democratic Governor Tim Walz’s administration and will instead enter a diversion program typically reserved for nonviolent, first-time offenders.

Alleged Targeting of Teslas Tied to Anti-Musk Protests
The vandalism is part of a broader string of politically motivated attacks targeting Elon Musk and Tesla. Musk, who now also leads the federal Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), claimed on March 9 that groups like the Disruption Project, funded via ActBlue and linked to George Soros-backed networks, are behind these coordinated efforts.
According to public records, Moriarty received over $500,000 in campaign donations from Soros-affiliated PACs. Critics argue that financial backing from far-left donors is influencing prosecution decisions, especially in politically charged cases.
Police Chief, Residents Push Back
Local law enforcement didn’t hide their frustration. Minneapolis’ police chief issued a sharp rebuke, suggesting that the decision not to charge a well-connected, white-collar offender undermines accountability and erodes public trust.
Outrage also boiled over online, with users on X (formerly Twitter) accusing Moriarty of enabling ideologically motivated crime.

How is this vandalism not also terrorism as it is aimed at making Tesla owners afraid of being attacked and discouraging any would-be Tesla owners from purchasing a Tesla? It is only because Tesla owners and would-be Tesla owners are not a “protected class?”
