Just in…
Vice President Vance cast the tie-breaking vote as Senate Republicans on Tuesday delivered a huge legislative victory for President Trump by passing his One Big, Beautiful Bill Act after hours of tense negotiations that lasted through the night.
The legislation appeared to be on the cusp of failing on the floor after Senate GOP leaders spent hours trying to hash out a compromise with Alaska Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski, who voiced concerns that the legislation’s cuts to Medicaid and federal food assistance funding would hurt her home state.
At one point, Murkowski could be heard talking about the “vulnerable” on her phone as she walked briskly through the Capitol, avoiding reporters.

The bill now heads to the House, where fiscal hawks in the House Freedom Caucus are frustrated with what they say are shallow spending cuts, and moderates are concerned over cuts to Medicaid. All have warned that they may not support the bill.
This is a breaking news story. Please check back for updates.

Stop hurting millions of people who do not have the huge amounts of money and benefits that you have. I want the names of everyone that voted for this terrible bill. You could at least vote to decrease your salary. You would never do this to help your country. We will remember this!!!!
one should take the time to understand how this bill will help americans. it keeps the income tax cuts in place, which would raise over 60% if not passed. no tax on tips and overtime. increase in child deductions, more border security, no cuts in medicare and more energy dependence to name just a few of the benefits. more cuts in wasteful spending can be made after this bill is passed which is desperately needed. this bill will put more money in americans pockets and into the economy. i heard schumer tell lie after lie about this bill and i would hope americans are intelligent enough to see through his deception. hopefully it will be signed into law very soon.
Why did you vote to harm millions of people who do not have the kind of money and benefits that you have? I want a list of everyone who voted for this terrible bill. We will not forget this.
