Hope Hicks — longtime political operative and former top aide to President Donald Trump — is expanding her dominance of the media world. Hicks has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of Megyn Kelly’s rapidly expanding media company, Devil May Care Media, a partnership that signals the growing ambitions of the podcasting powerhouse.
The announcement, made exclusively to The New York Post, comes as Kelly’s flagship program, The Megyn Kelly Show, continues to dominate podcast charts on Apple and Spotify and rake in hundreds of millions of monthly views across digital platforms.
“Hope Hicks is exactly the kind of woman I want running my company with me — strong, smart, strategic, and the embodiment of class and poise,” Kelly said in a statement. “There’s no limit to where she can take it.”
Hicks, 36, will report directly to Kelly and oversee business development, growth strategy, and the rollout of new ventures under the Devil May Care and MK Media banners. She called the opportunity “humbling and thrilling,” praising Kelly for building “a flourishing business” based on “talent, integrity, and unparalleled credibility.”
From the White House to the Media Boardroom
Hicks is no stranger to high-profile roles. A native of Greenwich, Connecticut, she rose quickly through the political ranks, serving first as press secretary for Trump’s 2016 campaign and then as White House Communications Director. After stepping down in 2018, she held a top communications role at Fox Corp. before returning to the Trump administration as a counselor to the president.
The Rise of Devil May Care Media
Launched in 2020 after Kelly’s departure from NBC, Devil May Care Media has become one of the most prominent independent media platforms in the country. Originally an audio-only podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show expanded into live video in 2021 through a partnership with SiriusXM. The show now boasts over 3.7 million YouTube subscribers and millions more across social platforms like Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and TikTok.
In March 2025, Kelly expanded the brand with MK Media, a new content network featuring shows by veteran journalist Mark Halperin, Daily Mail columnist Maureen Callahan, and influencer Link Lauren. MK Media is also preparing to launch a true crime channel — one of the fastest-growing content genres in the podcast world.
A New Chapter — and a Full Circle
Though Kelly and Hicks were once on opposite sides of a now-famous feud between Kelly and Trump during the 2016 GOP primary debates, the rift has since healed. Kelly campaigned for Trump leading up to his return to the White House, telling Sirius host Stephen A. Smith that she has “checked” her personal feelings and is now “100% rooting” for him.
The partnership between Kelly and Hicks marks a convergence of media influence, political savvy, and business strategy — and could position Devil May Care as a major conservative media alternative outside of traditional networks.
