Los Angeles police served a search warrant last week at a Hollywood Hills residence linked to recording artist d4vd after a dismembered body was discovered in the front trunk of a Tesla.
The Tesla had been towed to a Hollywood tow yard two weeks ago after being abandoned. Tow yard workers called police after detecting a foul odor from the car. Inside, officers discovered dismembered, badly decomposed remains wrapped in a bag. The body was later identified as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, missing from Lake Elsinore since April 2024.
The Tesla was registered to David Anthony Burke, the 19-year-old singer known professionally as d4vd. He has built a large Gen Z fanbase and is best known for his breakout hit “Romantic Homicide.”
Lyrics from “Romantic Homicide” — “In the back of my mind I killed you / And I didn’t even regret it” — have taken on an eerie relevance in light of the case, fueling speculation alongside other troubling details.

Sources confirmed LAPD investigators removed a computer and other items from the Hollywood Hills property where Burke is believed to have stayed. Authorities are treating the matter as a death investigation.
No charges have been filed, and the cause and manner of Rivas’ death remain undetermined. The L.A. County coroner has deferred ruling pending further examination.
Police sources noted that Rivas had a tattoo on her right index finger reading “Shhh…” — a tattoo also seen on Burke.
Burke’s remaining U.S. tour dates in San Francisco and Los Angeles, along with several European stops, have been marked as canceled or removed.

Speaking with TMZ last week, Rivas’ mother said she grew suspicious as soon as the body was found — even before it was identified — because her daughter had been missing for more than a year and she knew Celeste’s boyfriend was named David.
A representative for d4vd said the singer is cooperating with the investigation. As of the latest reporting, no charges have been filed directly against him, though the case remains active.

Sounds suspicious to me. I guess an investigation will hopefully expose the facts.
