Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced Monday that every federal law enforcement officer deployed in Minneapolis will immediately be issued body-worn cameras, a move aimed at increasing transparency in the wake of two controversial fatal shootings during the department’s immigration enforcement activities in the city.
Noem said in a social media post that the deployment of body cameras will begin “effective immediately,” and that as funding becomes available, the program will be expanded nationwide to cover DHS law enforcement personnel — including agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
I just spoke with @RealTomHoman @ICEDirector @CBPCommissioner. Effective immediately we are deploying body cameras to every officer in the field in Minneapolis.

The tactics used during President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown have been loudly criticized and sparked nationwide protests, especially after two fatal shootings of U.S. citizens in Minneapolis, Renee Good on Jan. 7 and Alex Pretti on Jan. 24, by Border Patrol officers.
CNN anchor Kasie Hunt noted that this announcement from Noem “comes as Democrats have been trying to use the fight over government funding to force changes to ICE’s policies and tactics,” and “body cameras were part of that.”
While police body cameras are broadly supported across law enforcement circles as a tool for accountability and officer protection, the broader policy fight in Congress has centered on balancing enforcement authority with oversight measures. Many Republican lawmakers have expressed support for the use of body cameras while opposing expansive restrictions on operational tactics or requirements that would, in their view, hinder the ability of ICE and CBP to pursue immigration enforcement effectively.
President Donald Trump publicly endorsed the use of body cameras, noting their value in documenting encounters and reducing misinformation, but clarified the policy decision rests with DHS leadership.
Meanwhile, some GOP leaders have resisted other proposed changes — such as requiring judicial warrants for home arrests or extensive new use-of-force restrictions — arguing such mandates could tie the hands of federal officers in the field.

You need to deploy Water Cannons, Sound Cannons.
Documenting the crimes with body cams is nice but does not protect ICE-POLICE.
Water Cannons with some dawn sop is good soft sopping the TRAITORS.
Spend more time cutting off the TRAITORS Funding.
