President Donald Trump shared a video late Thursday night on his Truth Social account that has drawn criticism after briefly depicting former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama with their faces digitally superimposed on dancing primates.
The video, which runs just over one minute, focuses primarily on claims about vote-counting machines and the 2020 presidential election — issues Trump has continued to raise despite those claims being rejected by courts and disputed by election officials. Near the end of the clip, altered images of the Obamas briefly appear on screen.
Critics condemned the imagery, arguing it echoed racist stereotypes. As of early Friday, the video remained publicly visible on Trump’s Truth Social account.
As Mediate reports:
It is unclear whether the president was aware of the imagery included in the video, which he posted minutes after sharing a history of the Black conservative movement.
The post came as part of another late-night social media spree featuring reshared posts on Jeffrey Epstein, the upcoming midterm elections, and claims that elections have been manipulated while attacking Democratic opponents.
The video drew quick backlash from Democrats and anti-Trump Republicans, who accused the president of amplifying racist imagery.
Disgusting behavior by the President.

Every single Republican must denounce this. Now. https://t.co/X09h1mcj74
Trump did not provide additional commentary on the post, nor did he directly address the criticism in subsequent statements.

Would you believe his account has been hacked by a Democrat?
Please don’t send me anymore email messages. You’re clearly a leftist organization.
It’s OK for the dems to post denigrating comments and images about the Pres. and HIS constituents, but not about them? “Don’t dish it if you can’t take it!!”
