The House of Representatives on Wednesday approved a war powers resolution aimed at ending unauthorized U.S. military involvement in Iran, marking the most significant congressional challenge yet to President Donald Trump’s handling of the conflict.

The measure, sponsored by Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-N.Y.) invokes the 1973 War Powers Resolution and would require the administration to obtain explicit authorization from Congress before continuing hostilities against Iran, except in cases involving an imminent threat to the United States. The vote followed months of growing bipartisan concern over a conflict that began in.

RUSSIA THREAT – UKRAINE WAR

US warns of consequences if Russia uses nuclear weapons. Washington says it will ‘respond decisively’ if Moscow uses nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

Russia-Ukraine war: List of key events, day 215. A gunman was detained after opening fire at a draft office in Russia’s Irkutsk region. Russia’s two most senior legislators addressed complaints about Russia’s enlistment drive, ordering regional officials to get a handle on the situation and swiftly solve the “excesses” that have stoked public anger. Police clashed with people opposed to the draft in the southern Russian region of Dagestan, underscoring the level of discontent with President Vladimir Putin’s decision to send hundreds of thousands more men to fight in Ukraine.

Ukrainian forces push east of Kupyansk, expanding offensive. Securing the remaining Russian-held urban areas on the town’s eastern side would clear the way for Ukrainian forces to push into Luhansk, one of the regions that Moscow seeks to annex through snap referendums under way.

Putin’s war, and his rule, are in trouble. Russia’s mobilization is an epic disaster. Can it become a movement against the regime?

Russian mobilization blasted for rounding up sick, disabled and elderly. New protests erupted Sunday over a mobilization effort so poorly handled that it has triggered widespread anger and controversy, even among Russian officials and top propagandists.

IRAN THREAT

Iran protests may distract regime from making trouble for US, allies in the Mideast. Protests roiling Iran in recent days are creating more volatility for the regime, and some analysts see a chance that the domestic turmoil will crimp Iranian support for proxy groups that attack U.S. allies in the Middle East.

Are their command officers going out of their minds??? I would say YES!!! Now the “members” of this branch of our military can’t call MOM OR DAD. THEY have to call poppy or mummsy. That doesn’t sound right. Unless your British… Kinda funny though. I DON’T CARE WHO YOU ARE THAT’S FUNNY.

    Raymond Weinman

If I was a cadet their I would resign. Nobody should be telling these young men and women not to call their parents mom and dad. This “WOKE” crap has got to stop. Social justice experiments have no place in the military.
