The New York City Police Department (NYPD) reports the white powder was found in an envelope marked “Alvin.” The enveloped was postmarked in Orlando, Florida on March 21, 2023 and contained a brief letter addressed to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, saying “Alvin: I’m gonna kill you” followed by several exclamation points.
The substance was immediately contained after being opened. Investigators have since determined it was non-hazardous.

Another twist in the grand jury probe that could lead to criminal charges for former President Donald Trump has rocked the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.
Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg has been weighing possible charges against Trump over a $130,000 hush money payment made by his then-lawyer Michael Cohen to porn star Stormy Daniels.
While Trump’s indictment was widely expected earlier this week, Bragg canceled the grand jury meetings for the remainder of the week on Thursday.

Emergency personnel have responded after a package with suspicious powder was delivered to the New York City building housing the Manhattan District Attorney’s office, according to police.
The New York Police Department said the package was delivered by USPS on Friday. No injuries were reported, and as of yet no one has been ordered to evacuate.
Police responded to the scene shortly after 12 p.m.
District Attorney Alvin Bragg is currently weighing whether to proceed with an indictment against former President Donald Trump for alleged hush money payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016.
The grand jury could resume work on Monday, making it the earliest date for an unprecedented indictment against a former president of the United States.
Trump also remains under investigation for interfering in Georgia’s 2020 presidential election and attempts to prevent the certification of Joe Biden’s Electoral College victory.
In an early morning post on Truth Social, Trump suggested that there would be “death and destruction” if he’s criminally charged.
“What kind of person can charge another person, in this case a former President of the United States, who got more votes than any sitting President in history, and leading candidate (by far!) for the Republican Party nomination, with a Crime, when it is known by all that NO Crime has been committed, & also known that potential death & destruction in such a false charge could be catastrophic for our Country?” he wrote.
