Just under the surface, speculation has recently boiled that Fox News Channel (FNC) didn’t fire Tucker Carlson — yet. Instead, observers like Megyn Kelly said Carlson remains employed but is in work limbo, even locked out of his company email.
Now, in a text, Carlson told the defense and national security website 19FortyFive that he’s “still employed by Fox.”
However, he remained tight-lipped about what led to his show’s cancellation and what’s next:
Until a week ago, Carlson had the most-watched show on cable news.
“I’m still employed by Fox,” Carlson said in a text message to 19FortyFive.
Carlson, however, did not go into detail why he believes his show was cancelled.
Vanity Fair published a rumor that his show got axed because Fox owner Rupert Murdoch was uncomfortable with the religiosity of his address at the Heritage Foundation’s 50th Anniversary gala.
Carlson told 19FortyFive that would be hard to prove.
According to Megyn Kelly, Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott caught Tucker “completely off-guard,” and until his exit is negotiated, Carlson cannot launch his next venture.
Kelly added that Scott had yet to tell Carlson why his show was canceled.

I he is still under contract this would mean that FOX has total Contractual Control over Tucker Carlson until after 2024???
Carson is a Lawyer and hopefully his contract puts Carlson in charge of any exit.
