“Instead of just taking a very practical approach, like we do, let’s say, for example, with car safety, where we say, ‘All right, we got a bunch of accidents. Let’s have seat belts. And let’s make cars safer. And let’s engineer our roads so that we prevent them,’” Obama observed, “Instead of thinking about it in a very pragmatic way, we end up really arguing about identity, and emotion, and all kinds of stuff that does not have to do with keeping our children safe.”

Nearly all mass shootings occur in gun-free zones and over 95% of the time the mass murderer doesn’t stop until a good guy with a gun shows up. But Obama and the Dems want to make sure there are fewer good guys with guns and more gun-free zones.

Most mass shooters have a diagnosed mental illness, a prior record, or obtained guns illegally, but the Democrats don’t want to address mental illness, reporting errors, or soft on crime, unless it’s about creating more gun laws to stop people who don’t respect our laws.

Our society no longer places value on human life nor do we teach that we have a shared responsibility to respect one another and to care for one another. Apparently it’s more important to teach a child to doubt the validity of their biological gender than to teach them that human life is to be valued, cared for, and respected. Also, we require someone to show proficiency and get a license to legally drive a car. Why can’t we use the same approach with guns. You have to pass a test showing proficiency and safe operation in order to be licensed to carry and use a gun.
