Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) is ready to take the debate stage.
On Thursday, DeSantis accepted California Gov. Gavin Newsom‘s (D) debate challenge, telling Newsom to “stop pussyfooting around” on whether he is going to run for president in 2024.
During a press conference, DeSantis knocked Newsom over “big problems” facing California, including a mass exodus of residents under Newsom’s leadership.
“And yet with all of those problems, he has a real, serious fixation on Florida; I mean, I think it’s just bizarre that he does that,” DeSantis said. “But what I would tell him is, you know what? Stop pussyfooting around,” he said, drawing cheers from the audience.
“Are you going to throw your hat in the ring and challenge Joe? Are you going to do it? Or are you going to sit on the sidelines and chirp? Why don’t you throw your hat in the ring, and then we’ll go ahead and talk about what’s happening.”
Within hours of the remark, the governor’s presidential campaign started advertising t-shirts with DeSantis’ quote “Stop pussyfooting around” on them.
The Florida Republican’s remarks come after Newsom told Fox News host Sean Hannity in an interview Monday that he would happily debate the Florida governor in a forum moderated by Hannity.
“I’m all in. Count on it,” Newsom said in the interview, which aired on Fox News.
“You would do a two-hour debate with Ron DeSantis?” Hannity asked.
“Make it three,” Newsom responded. “I would do it one day’s notice with no notes. I look forward to that.”
Tensions between Florida and California’s governors have reached a fever pitch in recent weeks since a dozen migrants from the Texas border were flown to Sacramento, Calif. The Florida Division of Emergency Management confirmed last week that the state was behind recent migrant flights to California.

DeSantis will eat up Newsom!
I’m sure Newsom will come up with some excuse not to do a debate. However, DeSantis will eat him up! NO match there!
This is really funny! Here we have a governor that’s driving his state into bankruptcy with his stupid liberal programs,and in doing so has people and businesses leaving the state as fast as they can. We don’t need a wall on our southern border, we need on around the nutty state of California. Why would we want someone as incompetent as Newsom running our federal government? Fortunately he has about as much chance of being president as a snowball chance in you know where.
Newsom is to stupid to debate almost any one.
Interestingly Newsome thinks America wants him to do to the nation what he has done to California – especially San Francisco with the highest homeless rate in the country. (Newsome was mayor of San Francisco). Now doing what he did to San Francisco, the feces covered streets, open drug use, unsafe streets. High murder rate, sanctuary state, untold number of illegals. Number one state for number of productive people who fled to Consertive states.

Newsome a member of the biden/soros/obama/clintons and administration, they all ought to be totally ashamed of themselves for what their doing to this nation. Stand up USA for your children, God, the truth, right values, common sense, right gender etc. Wake up.
