The music video for Jason Aldean’s newest hit, “Try That in a Small Town,” got a quiet makeover.
And Aldean’s fans are none too pleased about it.
According to Breitbart, Fox compelled editors to remove B-reel footage of BLM riots after threatening legal action against the country music superstar. (RELATED: Liberal Hellhole Agrees To Dirty Deal With BLM Rioters)
The controversy stemmed from six seconds of footage originally aired by FOX 5 Atlanta. Sources told TMZ Aldean’s production company contacted the Fox affiliate in May to confirm they could use the footage in his music video.
At the time, Fox asked for additional information, including the song’s lyrics. However, after controversy erupted last week, Fox followed up with a “polite ultimatum” for Aldean’s people: remove all footage of BLM riots to avoid legal action.

The re-edited version replaces the footage of violent riots with Aldean standing in front of a courthouse, an image that features prominently throughout the song.

As Breitbart News reported, “Try That in a Small Town” has enraged leftists and corporate journalists who have attempted to censor the song for its depiction of the violent and deadly Black Lives Matter riots of 2020 as well as the overall spike in crime in major cities.
CMT, which is owned by Paramount, pulled the music video following pressure from leftist activists. Like other Hollywood studios, Paramount supported the BLM rioters who laid waste to cities around the country.
Aldean has refused to take a knee to the mob, recently performing the hit single to an appreciative crowd who chanted “USA!” in response.
