Representative Ken Buck (R-Colo.) has taken a critical stance towards his party. The conservative legislator has expressed his concerns publicly since House Speaker Kevin McCarthy initiated an impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden despite the lack of direct evidence showing that Biden benefited from his son’s business deals or that they influenced any of his policy decisions.
According to Mediate, Buck is pursuing job openings at CNN and other outlets due to mounting frustration. The congressman confessed as much in a phone interview with the New York Post:
“I am interested in talking to folks at CNN and other news organizations — on the, I don’t want to call them left, but sort of center-left — and having an opportunity to do that full-time or do that as a contributor would be great also,” Buck said.
The Congressman called the Post back later in the day to add that he also was interested in a gig with Fox News or Newsmax.
“I didn’t want to give you the impression that I’ve only talked to folks at CNN, on the Left,” He added. “I’ve also talked to others about this.”
But there’s a question about how well his commentary might go over with a Right-leaning audience. Over the weekend, for example, Buck poured cold water on a key Republican theory behind the newly-opened impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.
A source close to Buck scoffed at the congressman’s ambitions, telling the New York Post that Fox News and Newsmax wouldn’t want him.
“His constituents elected him to do a job right now – not go find a TV contract, not try to audition for his next job,” they grumbled, before adding: “People can debate whether or not he’s changed his tune [about politics], but I think a lot of people would say he probably has.”
Buck arrived in Washington nearly 40 years ago, joining then-Congressman Dick Cheney’s staff in 1986 to investigate the Iran-Contra scandal. Afterward, he worked as a prosecutor in the Justice Department before rising through the ranks of the Colorado Republican Party.
Since 2015, Buck has represented much of Colorado east of the Rocky Mountains in Congress.

…but nobody does well at CNN! He would certainly fit right in!
I can tell you how well Congressman Buck’s comments will go over with a right leaning audience….as well as Liz Cheney did….what is he doing being elected as a Republican…that’s one of the problems with the Republican Party….we have too many charlatans in the party… be careful who you put in office….these RINOS are sneaky…..
