Good morning.

Congress is mounting its strongest challenge yet to President Trump’s Iran War, federal prosecutors have unveiled a sanctions-evasion case tied to Iran’s nuclear program, and investigators in Washington, D.C., are digging deeper into allegations that police officials manipulated crime statistics.

The House of Representatives voted Wednesday to approve a war powers resolution to limit unauthorized American military involvement in Iran.

Sponsored by Rep. Gregory Meeks of New York, the measure would require the White House.

WEDNESDAY PDB – Joe Biden has basically opened the floodgates at the border. Texas National Guard orders hundreds of asylum-seekers on US territory back into Mexico.

Just after midday, Texas Guard soldiers could be seen ordering migrants to return to Mexico through the Rio Grande.

Pushed back into Mexico, dozens walked farther east along the concrete river canal to attempt crossing again.

National Guard Humvees and SUVs belonging to the Texas Department of Public Safety were lined up along the border fence; the U.S. Border Patrol wasn’t at the site. (RELATED: Video Shows Biden Sent Troops To Border To Open Gates)

Hundreds of migrants breached reams of concertina wire at the El Paso-Juárez border over the past two days, forming a line along the south side of the U.S. border fence inside U.S. territory to seek asylum or formal entry into the U.S.

UNDER BIDEN, EVERY WOULD-BE IMMIGRANT IS NOW AN ‘ASYLUM’ SEEKER.

FOR YOUR EYES ONLY – Here’s a roundup of today’s other top defense stories from conservative national security expert PAUL CRESPO.

Not the President’s Daily Brief, but almost as good – PAUL’S DAILY BRIEFING – the PDB:

PENTAGON WOKE WATCH

Tuberville to seek Marine Corps leader vote despite abortion protest. The Alabama lawmaker has blocked promotions for more than 300 senior Pentagon officers as a protest against new abortion policy.

West Point sued overusing race as an admissions factor. The lawsuit was filed by the same group behind the lawsuit that resulted in the U.S. Supreme Court striking down affirmative action in college admissions.

HE ‘WOKED’ THE PENTAGON – Former Pentagon manpower and diversity chief running for Congress. Gil Cisneros, a Navy veteran and former California congressman, is ready to run again after serving as DoD manpower chief.

NATIONAL SECURITY

US in ‘no win’ situation after Canada suggests India involved in assassination. The allegation and diplomatic reprisals have left the US to balance its relationship between a longtime Five Eyes ally and a rising Asian democracy that could be a check on China.

US sanctions firms in China, Russia, Turkey over Iran’s drone program. Tensions between the U.S. and Iran remain high, despite the release of five American detainees from Iran this week, after a $6billion ransom payoff by Biden.

Hardliners block defense spending bill as GOP civil war worsens. The failed vote is a major blow to Speaker Kevin McCarthy and hawks who had hoped to advance the spending bill.

CHINA THREAT

China is edging out the US military tech advantage. The future of warfare is taking center stage as the war in Ukraine rages, and the U.S. and China escalate geopolitical maneuvering against one another, in preparation for a future conflict.

Avoiding shutdown, funding military vital to defending Taiwan, countering China, US officials say. A government shutdown and limiting military aid to Ukraine could compromise security for Taiwan and persuade China to attempt a takeover of the island.

RUSSIA THREAT– UKRAINE WAR

Ukraine has liberated 54% of territory seized by Russia, Joint Chiefs chairman says. He said Ukrainian forces had reclaimed more than half of Russian-occupied territory and stressed that the war will continue through the winter — until the Russians are completely gone.

Russia-Ukraine war: List of key events, day 574. Ukraine was probably responsible for a huge explosion in Kostiantynivka earlier this month that killed at least 16 people in a busy marketplace after a missile went off course.

While the blast is still under investigation, a Ukrainian official said: “We must not forget: it was Russia that launched the invasion of Ukraine, and it is Russia that is responsible for bringing war to our country.”

Austin urges nations to dig deep, give Ukraine more air-defense kits. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin urged allied defense leaders to provide more air defense systems to help the country block increasing barrages of Russian missiles.

Beset by Russian airstrikes, Ukraine looks to make its weapons abroad. The country’s defense firms have cheap, battle-tested kit—and no safe place to build it.

SPACE THREAT

Space Force is needed to provide for and protect America’s use of space. More than three years later, many Americans remain unaware of what the Space Force does and the vital role it plays protecting the U.S., allies and friends worldwide.

After record flight, Firefly, Space Force look to accelerate launches. Until last week, no company had been able to meet the Pentagon’s requirement for a quick turn launch.

HOMELAND SECURITY

Ray Epps, Marine veteran at center of a Jan. 6 conspiracy theory, charged with misdemeanor over Capitol riot. Epps is expected to plead guilty, according to court papers filed Tuesday. (RELATED: Longtime Republican Congressman Headed To Prison)

INTERNATIONAL SECURITY

Fighting flares again in breakaway region in Caucasus Mountains. U.S. troops are currently in Armenia as the fighting escalates once more in a nearby separatist region.

Biden aides and Saudis explore defense treaty modeled after Asian pacts. The U.S. is discussing a mutual defense treaty with Saudi Arabia that would resemble military pacts with Japan and South Korea. The move is at the center of high-stakes diplomacy to get the kingdom to normalize relations with Israel.

INDOPACOM CO tours EDCA sites in visit to the Philippines. The head of the U.S. military in the Pacific toured sites American forces could access in wartime and held high-level defense talks in the Philippines last week.

Southeast Asia nations hold joint navy drills near South China Sea. The Association of Southeast Asian Nations has begun its first joint naval exercise.

US military construction project finished at key air base in Romania. U.S. military officials completed a $34 million upgrade to a strategic base in central Romania where more than $100 million is being spent on initiatives aimed at extending the U.S. Air Force’s reach in southeastern Europe.

Sea Breeze players wrap up Black Sea drill, first series since war. The multinational naval exercise — held for the first time since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine — prioritized ensuring freedom of navigation and countering explosive devices such as sea mines.

US MILITARY

What we know about the Marine Corps F-35 crash in South Carolina. The crash of the stealth jet over the weekend has raised numerous questions.

Old is new again as Air Force special ops branch revamps training. “The intent, as we’re looking at all of our pipelines, is what can we establish as ‘basic mission qualified’?” Lt. Gen. Tony Bauernfeind said.

AFSOC wants MQ-9 Reapers to act as ‘capital ships’ for smaller drones. The head of Air Force Special Operations Command envisions a future where smaller uncrewed aerial systems (UASs) launch from Reapers to establish a sensor grid or a communications pathway for the joint force.

Good for Texas. Let us know if you need any help. Lots of real Americans will be more than happy to help out and stick their fingers in the eyes of this traitorous administration. Let’s go, Brandon.

    CSC

Eventually this administration will attempt to force Texas to abandon its efforts to protect itself and its borders with federal troops. Guess what happens next?
