ANALYSIS – Despite “warnings” from Team Biden, and an increased U.S. and allied naval presence, as well as limited counterstrikes, Iran and its minions appear undeterred.
And now, the campaign of terror attacks by Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi terrorists on merchant vessels has claimed its first fatalities.
The Barbados-flagged, Liberian-owned, bulk carrier, True Confidence was hit at about 11:30 a.m. local time (08:30 GMT) on March 6, killing one Vietnamese and two Filipino crew members.
A photo of the vessel posted by the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) shows that the Houthi ballistic missile had inflicted severe damage to the area housing crew cabins. The ship has now been abandoned and is drifting with a fire on board.
This latest loss of life is due to Joe Biden’s weakness, and his team being penetrated by Iranian agents. The attacks will only get worse and Americans will start dying in large numbers unless Biden hits Iranian assets directly.

The deadly strike marks a significant escalation of the Houthi attacks on Red Sea shipping, which began in October in response to the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.
The Houthis said in a statement that the strike was “accurate” and caused a fire to break out on the ship.
“The targeting operation came after the ship’s crew rejected warning messages from the Yemeni naval forces,” a Houthi statement said.
The ship was mistakenly targeted because of its previous ownership by Oaktree, one of the U.S. private equity firms that is most active in shipping investment.
However, the ship’s current manager and owner said in a statement, that the vessel was bringing Chinese steel and trucks to Saudi Arabia and Jordan, and was manned mostly by Filipinos, and other crew from India, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
The Houthis started a campaign of attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden in November, following the outbreak of the war between Israel and Hamas.
Since then, the Iran-backed group has attacked more than 40 ships.
The most serious previous assault, on February 19, led to the sinking of the U.K.-owned bulk carrier Rubymar.
So far, no naval warships have been hit by Houthi drones (UAVs,) or missiles. But more than a dozen commercial ships, including several U.S. vessels, have been struck since the attacks began.
“We know that the Houthis maintain a large arsenal,” Deputy Pentagon press secretary Sabrina Singh said last week, hours after the Houthis hit yet another cargo vessel in the Gulf of Aden with ballistic missiles. “They are very capable, they have sophisticated weapons, and that’s because they continue to get them from Iran.”
“They continue to surprise us. We just don’t have a good idea of what they still have,” complained one U.S. defense official.
Well, the Houthis shouldn’t surprise you since, as Sigh said, they continue to get weapons from Iran. And nothing will change as long as Biden and his Iran-compromised team refuses to make Iran pay.
