Grocery stores in Alabama and Oklahoma have introduced a groundbreaking new way to purchase ammunition: vending machines. Supplied by American Rounds, these machines promise a fresh approach to selling ammo for various firearms, including handguns, rifles, and shotguns.
Ammo Vending Machines of the Future
These automated ammo dispensers use advanced artificial intelligence to verify a buyer's identification and age through card scanning and facial recognition. Customers simply insert their photo ID, and the machine performs a scan to match the ID.
Currently, the vending machines are available at six different locations, as per the company's website.
City staff, including the police chief, confirmed the legality of these machines, stating they have been reviewed and approved by the ATF, according to the Tuscaloosa Thread.
Safety Tip: Always store firearms and ammunition securely, keeping them out of the reach of children. Use a gun safe or lockbox to prevent unauthorized access.

I do not believe that there are currently any laws requiring someone to provide personal information when purchasing ammunition, so why would anyone choose to use a vending machine that requires him/her to do so? Also, it is probable that said information will be stored in a government file where it cn be accessed in the future if necessary
