Bodycam footage shows the aftermath of an Idaho home invasion that didn’t end well for a suspect who robbed an elderly woman…an elderly woman who used to work with the Olympic shooting team and who owned a gun store.
“The .357 is mine.”
On March 13. Bingham County authorities received a 911 call from an 85-year-old woman who’d been handcuffed to a chair after her home was broken into by a would-be burglar. The victim was able to retrieve a firearm she kept under a pillow while she was tied to a chair and shoot the man trying to rob her.
I got shot last night. An invader.

The opening lines of that 911 call set the stage for the well-armed 85-year-old woman’s defense of hearth and home.
The woman told police she woke up at 2 a.m. to a masked stranger in a military jacket pointing a gun at her while she lay in bed. She said he took her into the living room, tied her up, and pistol-whipped her before asking where she kept her valuables.
While the suspect searched the home for items to steal, the victim dragged the chair she was handcuffed to back to her bedroom and retrieved her pistol. She then made her way back to the living room and hid the firearm.
When the suspect returned, he began threatening her. She fired at hit him twice; he returned fire, hitting her in return. He died at the scene. She is recovering.
