After saying she wouldn't!
Republican firebrand Marjorie Taylor Greene is, if nothing else, defiant, standing in opposition to the majority of her House Republican colleagues, Senate Republicans and Donald Trump's hand-picked leaders at the RNC.
Greene introduced the motion to vacate the chair late on Wednesday afternoon to a chorus of boos.
Despite the apparent widespread opposition, Greene's decision to bring the resolution to the floor means the House of Representatives will have to vote on whether to remove conservative House Speaker Mike Johnson sometime in the next two legislative days.
The Hill notes:
Greene — who filed her motion to vacate against Johnson more than a month ago — called her resolution to the floor as privileged on Wednesday, forcing GOP leadership to move on the measure within two legislative days.
The vote is all but certain to fail.
