Following Sunday's least boring Oscars in years, where actor Will Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock, a CNN personality thought it reasonable to blame Donald Trump for the embarrassing spectacle.
Smith walked onto the stage and smacked Rock in the face after the comedian made a joke about Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith's hair. Rock joked that he couldn't wait to see Jada in “G.I. Jane 2,” referring to her bald head.
Jada suffers from alopecia. While it's unclear if Rock knew that, Smith initially laughed at the joke. Jada was less than amused, which presumably led to the stunning confrontation.

Despite committing assault, Smith remained in the audience and went on to win the award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Richard Williams in “King Richard.”
He apologized to members of the Academy for the incident but not Rock, saying, “love will make you do crazy things.” By Monday afternoon, Smith apologized to Rock, too.
While the incident was between Smith and Rock, CNN pundit Asha Rangappa argued the lack of civility and audience response explained the rise of Trump (seriously).
Critics have widely mocked Rangappa's injection of Trump into a situation he was not involved in. Amusingly, this is not Rangappa's first time facing such criticism. Last year, she compared a Southwest Airlines pilot who made a crude remark about President Biden to an ISIS sympathizer.

I jokingly made the comment yesterday that it would somehow become Trump’s fault. The Babylon Bee had it right when they said you couldn’t write satire about the Left because whatever you wrote was actually fact. Beam me up, Scotty.
So Trump normalized bad behavior? I think Hollywood and CNN themselves have done a pretty good job at that.
Is it any wonder that California is known as the left coast? Leave it to the loony left wing Hollywood ” stars” to continue to blame Trump for everything that happens. One almost has to feel sorry for them, not!
As if BLM and Antifa riots for an entire year leading up to the fraudulent 2020 election had no bearing on the decline of civility in America. To my knowledge, President Trump has never struck, anyone. It is the news that calls for such non-sense and threatens conservatives with re-education, jail, etc. But of course everyone except this loser from CNN, knows that and now, you guys have repeated it to those who would never have known about it because they don’t watch the alphabet networks and really could care less about what the loony, loser, Hollywood, triviants are up to. I expect Hollywood royalties to decline over things like this and they deserve it.
