It is exit stage left for Joe Biden. Democrats know they face a problem in 2024 with Biden heading the ticket, so the nudging has begun. Polling ignored by the mainstream media for much of his presidency showing Americans question his mental capacity, is now major news. Biden's numerous misstatements and slips are now drawing the attention of the media. Even Hillary Clinton in her usual underhanded way when endorsing him, mentioned his age as a concern. But his age and mental capacity is not the reason for concern among Democrats, it is the constant polling showing he will lose in 2024 and drag the party down with him. From the economy to transgender issues to foreign affairs, Biden's roosters are coming home to roost.
Biden and his wife will remain resistant to leaving the race. That is where the party's ace in the hole will come to play – Hunter. Largely ignored by the media, more and more reporters are mentioning him, and Democrats realize the son's scandal can be used as leverage to give Joe the gold watch and send him off to Delaware with a lifetime's supply of ice cream.
Democrats would love Michelle Obama, but after teasing them for a bit, she is firmly out of the race. Who could blame her? Retirement is great for her with Netflix deals, speaking engagements and books.
Which means that the new Democratic dream candidate that the party will rally behind is – Gavin Newsom.
The Gavin Newsom who wants to outlaw gas vehicles, ban guns, make abortion legal up until birth, who crippled California's economy, promised reparations for slavery (despite the fact California was a free state) and let's not forget his three-Michelin star dinner at The French Laundry when he violated his own COVID edicts.
Yes, that Gavin Newsom.
The buildup has been underway in the mainstream media. He is being portrayed as a pro-business moderate Democrat (remember Barack Obama and Joe Biden being called that also?). They claim he reimagined the California economy (that may be true as businesses cannot leave California fast enough). He brings a commonsense approach to crime, the buildup maintains (that is if you consider decriminalizing most crimes as being commonsense). He has backtracked on reparations saying now he doesn't know if that entails financial payouts. This proves he is a judicious social crusader who balances economics with social justice. And he is being compared favorably to Obama.
Republicans, as is always the case, have been largely muted on this Newsom buildup as Biden fades. And that is how elections are lost. In 1996, 2008 and 2012, Democrats and the mainstream media built up the Democratic candidates with glowing stories while demonizing potential Republicans. The result is by the time Republicans were ready to tell the true story it was too late. Republicans must define Newsom before Democrats and the media are able to finish and foist him upon the public. If they don't, it will be goodbye Joe, hello Gavin in 2024, just when you didn't think things could get any worst.

The way Newsom has destroyed California why would the voters of this country ever elect him to the presidency and let him really destroy this country? Just ask the businesses that have left California, or the hundreds of thousands of people that have left that madhouse.
