Kamala Harris has been especially slow to announce any substantive policies — and this may explain why.
Despite reports of her desperate attempts to distance herself from both her deeply partisan, progressive record and the Biden administration, she's expected to announce Soviet-style price controls tomorrow, when she finally unveils her platform to the public.
Breitbart News reports:
The Democratic nominee is promising to institute a first-ever national ban on price gouging and price-fixing within her first 100 days in office in an effort to deflect many voters' low marks for President Joe Biden's handling of the economy.
Time magazine reports Harris plans to direct the Federal Trade Commission and other agencies to investigate and penalize “big corporations” that violate government rules in a mirror of Soviet command economy diktats.
Other ways of tackling price fixing and selective anti-competitive practices in the food and grocery industries will also come under scrutiny, her campaign said by way of previewing her full set of economic proposals.
In her speech, the Democratic candidate will specifically single out the highly consolidated meat industry, deeming its processing middlemen “particularly egregious” price fixers with a history of being found to have illegally controlled prices, the Time report sets out.
It's probably not a coincidence that she will single out the meat industry, as it's been a long time target of progressives, who claim meat consumption drives climate change.
Government-imposed price controls only sound appealing to the historically and economically illiterate, as they've been an incredible failure everywhere they've been implemented, eventually leading to shortages and collapse. Critics have rightfully pointed out that “it doesn't matter how low the government claims the cost of bread is if there's none on the shelves.”
Communist dictatorships often start out printing money, introducing price controls, and when that inevitably fails, seizing entire industries.
The Democrats claimed the Biden-Harris Administration's Inflation Reduction Act — that Kamala Harris cast the tie-breaking vote for — would ease the economic burden on the American people, but accomplished the opposite, and price controls would be no different.
American Liberty News recently covered how the act artificially capped out-of-pocket drug costs for Medicare beneficiaries, and how two years later, it's expected to triple the premiums to compensate for profit losses, and now the government is offloading the burden onto the taxpayer ahead of November, in an apparent attempt to cover for the Harris campaign.
While in the short term, Americans might see some relief, the consequences of implementing these controls can't be overstated.

I’m not so fond of the Republicans but you have to be a complete moron to vote for Harris or any other democrat.
