New Jeffrey Epstein documents allege that the deceased sex offender secretly recorded Prince Andrew, Sir Richard Branson, Bill Clinton and others engaging in sexual activity.
Amid Monday's tranche of documents is email correspondence from 2016 between Epstein accuser Sarah Ransome and Daily Mail columnist Maureen Callahan. At the time, Callahan was working for the New York Post and covering Epstein. In the emails, Ransome claimed that Epstein kept blackmail videos of her “friend” and other girls engaging in sexual acts with each of the men – including Donald Trump.
The age of the friend, who allegedly obtained copies of the recordings, is not specified.
Since 2016, Ransome has withdrawn her statements.
Per the Daily Mail:
She retracted all her claims, telling Callahan she wanted to ‘walk away from this', citing fears for her family.
In 2019, The New Yorker said Ransome admitted to ‘inventing' the tapes.
It is claimed that Epstein filmed each of these sexual encounters – and that the woman involved also obtained copies of the tapes.
No such footage has ever been publicly uncovered. The FBI is now under pressure to release hundreds of items of evidence that was photographed during a raid on Epstein's mansion in 2019 but that was never seized.
Ransome previously told Callahan that she had obtained footage of sexual encounters from her friend but that she wouldn't share it without her consent.
Clinton has not responded to the latest accusations. Trump denied the claims through campaign spokesman Steven Cheung.
“These baseless accusations have been fully retracted because they are simply false and have no merit,” he said.
